Conceptually speaking, isn't that pretty much just the Mastadon?

40k rule of cool, but again...that front hatch is a death trap.

the damn thing is already going to be receiving AT fire, now we're just going to open the front of it up so the troops inside can get caught in a fatal funnel while AT is slinging at them lol

Mate... Have you read anything about the Mastodon? It's more armoured than a Land Raider on the front, even with the ramp.

The vehicle was designed as a wall-breacher/mobile bunker

that frontal armor doesn't do much good when the doors are wide open to disgorge troops...who will then be directly exposed to concentrated fire from the heaviest weapons available...but like i said 40k rule of cool.
Once again, you're commenting on something not knowing: When the Mastodon's doors are opened, it's not taking AT fire at the opened front door, as it'd be smashed into a wall.

Those meltas on the door and the big one on the top? That's not for busting armour, that's for busting walls (literally).

...and you don't think there might be enemies with AT weapons on the other side of said wall?

Critical thinking is important

It depends on the wall being punctured. But they won’t be ready regardless.

It’s like when you breach a room. You’ve got a few seconds to get out of the fatal funnel before the enemy is able to react.

Same principles. It blasts apart the wall, shoots frag grenades and smoke bombs in front of it, and opens all within a couple of seconds. That’s plenty of time for them to disembark and close.

...ya they won't know it's coming...not like there's people on top of the wall who can communicate to those in the Bailey directly, or warn the command center, to warn the defenders in the Bailey...
Quit dragging the thread with the mastadon @Inquisitor_Lensoven. Myself and several others have explained why it's a valid assault vehicle suited for direct breaching. You are ignoring people who are far more knowledgeable about HH era vehicles + warfare in that period. You don't know what you are talking about, just stop.

I'm just pointing out how front ramps/doors are stupid.

Rule of cool yes, at all practical? No.

I'm arguing with someone who knows nothing about warfare outside of 40k

Cool model. Epic model. Just not practical like so much of 40k. Not sure why that's so hard for some people to accept

Let's stop rating 40k logic on a scale of real world logic.

Besides, you're opening a tank to disembark a bunch if post-human killing machines who wear armour as durable as that of a tank.

Real world comparisons will always fall short. ;)

I'd like to sees more exploring Abaddon's equivalent of Indomitus. Cadia is gone, the rift is open, and he's got half a galaxy to conquer.

His Crusade also splinted off into a million directions as his allies decided to do their own thing.

A second primarch come back ....

The Lion

Corax

Russ

Khan

etc.

Or Dorn (minus a hand), returning and seeing what he always feared: Guilliman is reshaping the Imperium to his own liking. And in response, finally undoing the injustice of the Second Founding and recalling his far-flung Chapters into a Legion again, like the Emperor decreed. Suddenly the Imperium is poised on a knife-edge!

I'd like to know more about it. What's the Ezekarion up to? Who are the crusading warlords? Who's garrisoning newly taken territories? How much of the chaos controlled areas are full on warp-drenched versus physically stable? Has the Black Legion (or other legions) taken advantage of all the fresh territory to grab more non-mutated recruitment stock? How much trouble are the Aeldari/Drukhari/Harlequins giving them? Etc.

Lore progression? I want to know a lot more about all aspects of the Eldar and what is going on with Ynnead. Having that faction as a pseudo faction is really weird to me.

Agreed. When this faction dropped I considered creating an Eldar army, I love that red on them. I've never had an interest in playing Eldar, been playing since 90'.

The idea of an Eldar Death Cult, embracing their tragic existence bringing converts in from all the other factions.

So good.

Also the 3 pack of minis is incredible.
