So, I said September that I under-vow constantly, which leads to multiple vows. October I only vowed four Inquisition mercs. Here's what else I finished by the end of Oct that I didn't vow because I didn't believe I would finish them-

October Summary

October saw two old hands return to the Challenge bring this months participants to 23 Frater. Of the 23 Frater taking up October's Challenge, 22 managed to complete their models, with a lone Frater to bear the Next Month badge for October. The 23 of us collectively pledged to complete 194 models, and managed to complete 111 of those models.

Compared to previous years, I have streamlined awarding the Badges a little, and have begun adding Badges in the first post of each Month as they are earned. Please feel free to add them to your Signatures as you see them appear each month.

- the 3rd time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Black to Bronze, available from March

- the 6th time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Bronze to Silver, available from June

- the 9th time you earn a Badge it upgrades from Silver to Gold, available from September

- if you manage to earn a Badge for all 12 Months of the Challenge, it will upgrade to Platinum

So I missed my mark with the BGVets. One is almost but not yet ready, the other a mess, so I will simply continue with them. Additionally my niece just demanded I painted a knight on a unicorn with a specific colour palette (she likes all the colours except black), so you know - priorities :D

I, Lord_Ikka, vow to completely paint and base a Redemptor dreadnought, three Inceptors, and six Bladeguard Veterans for the month of November. Both the Redemptor and Inceptors will have alternate weapons painted as well.

Hello friends, amazing work here, I'm out of likes.

I think in a technical sense, "vow complete", but it doesn't feel like victory.

Although I think I need to build a plasma pistol & powersword leader for my Kill Team, so he might end up being 'counted as' the Confidant.

I know I only managed to get this one model over the line, but he was painted in October.

For November I vow to finish the other 4 who are in progress.

Honestly feeling a bit burnt out after Orktober - ten models in a very busy month is actually a lot harder to do than I'd like!

So, back to basics. One model a month, if that's what it takes.

I, Ace Debonair, hereby embark on the 12 Months of Hobby Challenge! For da month of November, I pledge to complete One (1) Seraphim Sister of The Order of the Iron Tower by the month's end!

This is a model who's been sat in my bits box in this state for most of the last year. She's a little over halfway done - can't remember, now, why I stopped painting her.


Still, I'm looking at things like this. I've finished my orks - all done. My nids? All done. My Sisters? Next on the paint table, until they are all done (maybe with the odd poxwalker thrown in to break things up and keep it fun). Three Seraphim, Four repentia and a repentia superior left to go, then it's on to the next faction in my pile of shame.

So November is here, and the year is growing dark again. Way back some time near the beginning I committed a plotting along vow to finish my Sister from last year. Thing is, I haven’t really touched them in many many months, so most of them are still awaiting paint.
