I am toying with a list for 2000 pts, to get done and have some play in near future.

So far i came up with list looking like this.

++ Battalion Detachment 0CP (Imperium - Adeptus Astartes - Blood Angels) [115 PL, 7CP, 1,997pts] ++ +

+ HQ +

Captain : 5. Gift of Foresight, Inferno pistol, Jump Pack, Relic blade, Rites of War, Stratagem: Angel Exemplar, Visage of Death

Chief Librarian Mephiston (Primaris) : 1. Quickening, 2. Unleash Rage, 3. Shield of Sanguinius

Sanguinary Priest : Artificer Armour, Astartes Chainsword, Bolt pistol, Chapter Command: Chief Apothecary, Jump Pack, Hero of Chapter : Selfless healer

+ Troops +

10xAssault Intercessor Squad1 TH on Sgt

5xInfiltrator Squad + Helix gauntlet

5xIntercessor Squad : Bolt rifle, Chain sword on sgt

+ Elites +

Judiciar : 6. Selfless Valour, Icon of The Angel, Stratagem: Hero of the Chapter

5xSanguinary Guard  Sword and bolt guns

5xSanguinary Guard  Sword and bolt guns

5xTerminator Assault Squad: Homer and TH/SS all

5xVanguard Veteran Squad : 3x LC/SS, 1x Twin LC, Sgt. Bolt pistol + Relic blade

+ Fast Attack +

3xInceptor Squad :  Plasma Exterminator

1xInvader ATV: Multi-melta

+ Heavy Support +

3xEradicator Squad : Heavy melta rifle

I'm not really sure about Mephiston, could change him for Libby dread/ Normal libby or squad of th/ps DC.

Everything starts on board.

Judi and Hammerboys in middle for Oaths and o **** moments with homer, VV's are for chaff cleaning dutys and middle swap with termies.

Sang priest helps all around so jump pack mandatory.

One flant is pushed by cpt+one SG squad and Plasmaceptors, other flank is pushed by ATV + Mephy + Ass Incest.

Home objective is held by Infiltrators and near them are bolter Intercessors.

Eradicators would be just fire magnets i think or reserves and thrown to do melta things.

Second SG squad is counter charge force/ relentless assault scorers with VV's and ATV.

What do you guys think ?

Looks like a solid list with a good balance of boys and toys. I have a couple of suggestions for your HQs though.

I would be tempted to swap out one of Mephiston's powers to give him Wings of Sanguinius. He is such a beatstick that you probably want him to keep up with the Jump Pack units and hit things.

Making the Captain your Warlord is slightly problematic in this list. Making him a Warlord means you want to run him with the Sanguinary Guard but I know from experience that his rerolls will be very important to the Plasma Inceptors. If you over charge these guys without he Captain's rerolls, each model has a 52% chance of dying to overheats (76% if shooting at a squad of 6 or more due to Blast). That is a massive risk for expensive models so I nearly always run mine with the Captain as he keeps losses down to an acceptable level. Maybe make the Sanguinary Priest your Warlord. That way he can buff the Sanguinary Guard and also put hem into the Assault Doctrine early. That means you can't take the 2nd WLT on the Captain but Rites of War and the Relic Deathmask is still a fun combo to mess with the enemy.

Speaking of the Sanguinary Priest, I would be tempted to give him the Armour Indomitus rather than Artificer Armour. It gives him the same 2+ save but also gives +1W and it gives him a one-use 3++ if he comes face-to-face with something nasty.

Eradicators are a unit that benefits from going in Reserve so this is worth considering. I am also torn on the Heavy Melta Rifles. I prefer them in armies that have some way to negate the -1 to-Hit for moving and firing (like Space Wolves). Having said that, they are very effective against armies that have damage reduction abilities (like Death Guard).

Yeah, HQ's are my biggest problem. I can't make up my mind if i want libby or sanguinor or maybe swap cpt for 2 Lt's, I love the diversity of choices we get from SM codex and our supplement but it's difficult to take some and deny other things.
Cpt and plasmaceptors will be going with one SG squad so this group can flip objectives and delete chaff/light vehicles.
I don't like idea of Sang priest warlord, he is great but making him warlord makes him more crucial to live through game and that could be one way ticket to disaster.

Fair point for Mephiston though but then he is faster than intercessors he is going with and makes him more of throw away kind of character than charge detterent/support dmg dealer.

For eradicators i think the +dmg negates some of the -1 to hit but well they need to hit for it to make a diffrence so it'll depend how they will perform.

Having a Librarian around for denies is definitely useful. A good alternative to Mephiston is a Libby with Jump Pack and Null Zone. Run him with something like the Sanguinary Guard (who have no Inviulnerable save) so that they can still deal lots of damage, even when facing opponents like Bladeguard who do have good Invulns.

If you are happy you can keep both units in range of his auras then fair enough.

I have checked and you are right. Against large targets, the extra damage compensates for fewer hits. If they stay stationary then heavy are a lot better.
