Firedrake Cordova
The Noise Marine looks great, complete with neon hair The marbling effect on the bases looks really nice, too. On the new Drop Pod - remember it can only be assembled with the doors open, which makes it a pain to store and transport, as well as limiting modelling opportunities, so your blood, sweat, and tears spent assembling the old model might not have been in vain. jimbo1701
Phew been a while. Mostly been working on spraying and basing things - army building rather than details. Made good progress though so all my chaos stuff is now assembled with just a bit more basing and spraying to go. jimbo1701
Some behind the scenes progress. I’ve got the cerastus knight twins assembled just need to add chaos flavour. World eaters almost all based. Slaanesh daemons a bit slower progress. Hoping to base these guys then move away from chaos for a few months. Later in the year will revisit the cerastus knights and get chaos knights on bases, revisit iron warriors once saturnine is released and tie up loose ends with thousand sons. Then my year of chaos can end in success! In the meantime I want to sort through all my terrain over the summer and get some paint on it as I’m aiming to get my home gaming table back in action come the advent of 11th edition. Dr_Ruminahui
Great to see all that chaos - you should consider vowing some of it for the Call to Arms event. jimbo1701 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369161-jimbos-plog-armies-of-all-shapes-and-sizes/page/12/#findComment-6116977 Share on other sites

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m gradually easing back into painting and have got the next 6 months mapped out to get through my pile of shame. Definitely planning to switch to more painting by the time next edition lands though. For now I’m painting Khârn and azrakh while finishing off the slaanesh daemons. Once they are done in the next few weeks I’m moving on to scenery for a few months. I’ve got some group shots of the world eaters but too large to upload sadly. jimbo1701
Still can’t seem to upload the photo of the whole army as file size limit (even though below this) so here’s a pic of the daemon engines. Basically a sweet jar on its side with wheels / clay. I couldn’t bring myself to bin it so I thought I’d spray it up alongside the rest. I had visions of it being a proxy vindicator but now they can’t be taken. kabaakaba and Rusted Boltgun 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369161-jimbos-plog-armies-of-all-shapes-and-sizes/page/12/#findComment-6117139 Share on other sites
jimbo1701
I finally looked at some better storage solutions with magnets. Gradually going to introduce them to my painted armies Edited June 21 by jimbo1701 Firedrake Cordova, Grotsmasha and Rusted Boltgun 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369161-jimbos-plog-armies-of-all-shapes-and-sizes/page/12/#findComment-6117661 Share on other sites

jimbo1701
4 hours ago, kabaakaba said: Is this magnetic sheet on the bottom? Yes it’s a ferrous sheet 0.75mm and holds the models very well. Trying to phase them in over time but costings approx as below: - really useful boxes from b and m £5 4L and £6 9L - magnet shop (eBay / Amazon) .75mm ferrous sheets £18 for 10 (enough for 8 boxes) - 100x magnets approx £8 off eBay - 5mm x 2mm (does 25mm / 28.5mm and some of the larger bases) 5mm x 2.5mm for everything else. i would approximate it costs around £40 for every 3 boxes of models including the magnets. (About what’s needed for your average 2-3000 point army. Rusted Boltgun
That's what I use too. Hot glueing magnets to the sides allow you to fit any extra tall infantry into a 4L box . Of course, you will lose some floor space. kabaakaba, jimbo1701, ZeroWolf and 1 other 3 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/369161-jimbos-plog-armies-of-all-shapes-and-sizes/page/12/#findComment-6117714 Share on other sites
