Brynjarr, Odysseus:

Both have 300XP left over. This may be deliberately saved for later, or possibly not included the extra earned from Vesalius' picter Chapter Trapping?

I believe Odysseus has the correct total, just not a great deal to spend 300xp on (psychic powers tend to cost 1-2k each)

An eludicator might be useful, though I need to find 100xp to take logic to use it fully (unless someone already has logic?). Never know what you might find on these old ships.

@A.T. - Well that shouldn't be hard for you to find, seeing as you have at least 300XP to spend.

100 more - logic is 400 :tongue.:

Though actually - a Locus Seeker, and 5 req left over for anyone who wants it.

I'm thinking Vesalius will take a sword of some sort (chain or power), and either continue to hang onto his stalker-pattern boltgun or maybe sub it out for a shotgun or flamer. Maybe just some special issue ammo for his bolter instead?

Edit: perhaps also a set of auspex or a multi-key, requisition permitting.

OK, added some answers to the questions.

(Regarding the technical side of star travel, that's about as much detail as I can give you. Lang obviously understands a great deal more than I do... :P)

Sorry MG, I missed your post there. Could you maybe cut and paste it to after Lang's response to Orphiel, think it might flow better that way?

Edit: In the meantime, I've added a note to my post for readers to switch them round! :D

Right, gang, I know we're all getting our personal shopping lists together for the IG Armorium, so to that end Vesalius is currently planning to take a power sword and possibly also a multi-key, which would eat up all of his req. I could certainly be convinced to equip him with a chainsword instead and perhaps snag a secondary weapon or a mag or two of special issue ammo for his boltgun. Any thoughts?

Other bits of kit that might be useful for us (in my opinion) would be the following:

  • Auspex
  • Multi-key
  • Bulkhead Shears
  • Tactical Dreadnought Armor
  • Combi-Tool

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.

Edit: a better question would be: do we even have people in the party who can cover the necessary Tech-Use and Security skills to use any of the aforementioned pieces of equipment?

@A.T., a question for you regarding the locus seeker that Odysseus is planning to take: aren't those used for tracking something that you have already come in contact with, akin to putting a tracking beacon in a suitcase of cash a la No Country for Old Men?

Don't want the ship getting away do we? :tongue.:   - it's in character, but optional.

I had been tempted by a haywire weapon but it looks like the only deathwatch variant other than the single use grenade only rolls on the emp table after you have already destroyed the target (critical damage).

I was wondering about the Techxorcism Gun as well, but it's Exotic...

Is there any way we could manufacture EMP grenades?  At least to make them a bit cheaper Req wise?

EDIT: Beren - 35 Req.

I have changed Vesalius's equipment loadout to be a chainsword (possibly with a cheeky upgrade to exceptional craftsmanship?) and a set of bulkhead shears for now. If we have the extra req, an upgrade to a power sword would be nice but not especially necessary, or a clip of metal storm rounds with a fire selecter for his boltgun.

Draak has a new Requisition and has 5 points to put in the pot.

I will update the spreadsheet after Draak goes to the Armourium.

I was going to say - have you Requisitioned an Invictor Warsuit..?? :D
