For instance, if I have a Captain on bike as HQ in Detachment 1, can he be "leading" a Bike Squad from Detachment 2? Thanks! Dr_Ruminahui Posted April 26, 2021 Share Posted April 26, 2021 You can deploy your models however you like, subject to the specific rules for the model (for example, drop pods start off the table) or the mission. So, you can deploy your HQ from detachment 1 next to units from detachment 2. Additionally, the rules to protect characters from being targetted don't care about detachments, simply friendly units (p 219 of the BRB) - so, provided you meet the requirements of the Look Out, Sir rule, it applies, regardless of which detachment's units are within the range required by that rule.
