Kozah’s Rage joined the company motor pool 150 years ago. No doubt our cousins would call her decoration “gaudy” and stereotypical of our legion. She is named after one of our techmarines who rebuilt the tank following its wrecking early in the Crusade.

Support squad Plumm are experts with the Rapier gun platform. Combined, they have an impressive tally of tank kills and citations. 3rd platoon favour the Zone Mortalis and the gun platforms often lead the way in assaults.

Whaka is completely fearless, even by the standards of the legions. No matter the severity of the situation he will acknowledge the sergeant’s orders with a calm thumbs up.

My fellow sergeant is not of fair visage. This life isn’t kind to any of us but Plumm has been dealt a bad hand by chainsword bites, burns and many others. Despite being quite the gorgon he has a rich countertenor voice and needs little encouragement at feasts to lead the singing.

Good as new! Some liquid green stuff and paint should sort it out. I swear the smirk on Fulgrim’s face is meant for me.

The arrayed ranks of 1st Platoon, 95th Company for approximately 1500-2500 points depending upon if I’m running them as tactical squads or veteran squads with lots of extras. Hopefully enough for a full 3000pts including the dreadnoughts and terminators of fully repainted, rescaled purple lads.
With 1st platoon completed, the ultimate goal is to have the full 95th company. For now time to move onto 2nd platoon. The plan is to theme each platoon slightly differently; 1st the classic tactical mechanised, 2nd assault and 3rd as Zone Mortalis.

Starting at the top of the 2nd platoon.

My platoon is led by Lieutenant Krystyän Huygens, Saturnine Mustang, slayer of Mogrog Nose Fist and Champion of the 95th. He is ever in the vanguard, setting a fine example with paragon blade and power fist but his taste in armour decoration is not to mine.

The immediate years after Fulgrim’s discovery we call The Rebirth, during which the legion focused on rebuilding. As well as traditional recruits, Legion Master Thrallas pooled the attached Imperial Army units for recruits with combat experience and commitment to the Crusade. Auxilia Huygens of the 3rd Saturnine Rams was one such man who passed the tests and ascended to our ranks. His exuberance, luck and combat record saw him commissioned from the 1st Millennial to ours.

Rearmed, rescaled and repainted! I was awfully lazy on the paintwork with the original models telling myself it was a night fighting scheme or something. I think I had an impending game and couldn’t face doing the brushed layers of purple.

My own squad. We are often equipped for the assault role to suit the Lt’s preference. Currently we don’t stand at full strength, one fireteam was seconded to a Rogue Trader expedition, von Falanthius or some such name.

I think I began this biography from fear of leading these men to their deaths against the traitors and that their passing would go unremarked by the galaxy. Its scope grew to cover the whole company as I felt guilty no one else would speak for them.
Chaplain Festus has been of great help in my endeavour, he may be indulging me out of pity or as a distraction from the impending battles against our former “brothers”.

The term hero gets thrown at the legions a lot by the “mortals”, often erroneously. In Harland’s case it is well earned. 22 years in the legion and I’ve seen him go toe-to-toe with monsters, rescue civilians & injured men from death traps and embody all that is best in our legion.

Some would say he is the mother of the squad. Boaz would describe himself as having enough emotional maturity to be concerned for our welfare. His arm was not lost to the foe but to a malfunctioning drop pod door.

The entry that makes me most uncomfortable. What to say about myself dear reader, whoever you are? I hail from  Vordrast and have with extensive experience in the legion over 150 years. I was seconded to the Fists and proved myself in their duelling circles then humbled by Sigismund. I favour the gun blade. I’ve been decorated many times…

This reads like an after action report.

I read too much for my own good…I have the same blue eyes as my sister…I can still remember the faces of my family. That memory is my rock; it reminds me I’m still a man…not Frankenstein’s monster.

Chaplain Festus has served the legion some 70 year, his armour has a much older pedigree. This artificer mk 1 thunder plate reminds then men of the 3rd Legion’s history.

Festus has a forceful personality that sweeps the men up in the heat of battle. Afterwards he will lead the toasts with a relic cup for the Victory Wine.
He has a terrifying visage from the bionics that cover half his face…the comb over of remaining hair does little to mask it.
