Rumor was that it was unique castellan earlier. Later it was corrected that it'd be unique Marshal, and then we saw these rumors translated from french.

The take away is that it's probably a unique Marshal in the launch box.

Quick aesthetic questions before I build these 40 Assault Intercessors:

-Do the new Sword Brethren have Capes?

-Do the new Initiates in the Crusade Squad have the blade guard style tabard?

Sword Brethren have capes

Crusade Squads have belly tabards.

Belly tabards? Like the emperors champion?

Probably the frontal tabards the models have always had.

awesome.... Real KNIGHTish capes.

Another question. Is that Ancient just a BT specific model ( but not uniqe as sheet for the rules) or is it a new special character like Helbrecht and Grimaldus?

Wow.

Im hyped. This might just be the thing to rekindle me playing the game instead of just painting.

The only bone ive got is the id hoped for totally mixed crusader squads. But in hindsight. Primaris don't know how to board a lrc and initiates don't know where to board a primaris transport.

So you'd have a portion of your squad running alongside the transport

Aka aprons :happy.:

I've made my peace with it :ermm:

I could see them being the same as the Indomitus and EC versions so as to create a unified theme with a lot of the newest sculpts. It would certainly allow things like BGV and the Indomitus characters to blend in better.

Guess we will find out soon!

I am hopeful the Sword Brethren Kit keeps the unique left shoulder plate with the elongated and stylized Templar cross.  The metal/fine cast leader and lightning claw guy had the plate.  I always liked that plate.

That launch box sound a bit underwhelming, hoping for a least cool a new special edition cover for the supplement.

If I get it I'll try selling the redemptor to mitigate the cost as I already have a venerable dread, a chaplain dread and a leviathan in my Black Templars army

Also question for Valdrak do you know the exact content of the combat patrol box? also is there any models that are exclusive to the launch box? thanks.

Hold up. Are BT fans already unhappy with their releases?

The Redemptor could have unique BT upgrades or options, can't be written off yet. And it's a fantastic unit anyway.

Yeah the Redemptor is a great unit, but I don't want it in my chapter's exclusive launch box. And if that's the case we have every right to be disappointed when orks and sisters got nearly double the models that this is supposed to be that were all brand new sculpts. Jamming an existing kit in there is BS.

Now if it's actually the Combat patrol box, then that's fine, but it has no business being a in a BT launch box

Considering all of this is still in rumor mode, I'd say it likely that the set containing the Redemptor sounds more like a combat patrol than a launch box. Of course I could be entirely wrong.
