DA are overrated. They are strong against but not as good as people think. SoB, Admech, Drukhari and very likely the new orks are way better.

Btw... I have a new idea. Maybe GW just release new BT models because there are too much alternative producers.

I mean over the last years there are so many producers of unofficial BT modes/Bitz and stuff..

@Sete. Who said that BT Supp would not be DA level? Better: in which way it was said directly?

It would be really bad if there would be so much new models and :cussty rules.

How many people would be confused if they play against Belakor, Drukhari, Admech, new Orks. I am sure if they have tested our codex - then of course most likely against Orks.

While I'll probably get some of the new models for the sake of having them, I suppose I will most likely not be using them as part of my main squat-marine force. That's why I'm just hoping that non-Primaris builds will be viable.

I think you're clinging to a sinking ship my friend lol

The curse of knowledge. *sigh* Soon, brothers. Very soon (I hope). I will say, but will not elaborate further on...be prepared to adapt.

What a tease >:( lol.

BT as of right now are not bad at all.

in general yes. A - Tier to B-Tier in ranking.

But on competitive you just think about Metalists and what is played in tournaments.  There we have big problems against Death Guard because fight last, ... no rerolll auras. Problems against the new Belakor, Admech is pure evil... and SoB+ Drukhari "deal" better because they are deadly as we are but way WAYY cheaper.

Kinda scaring the cuss out of us along the way but man you’re in a difficult position.

I think we all need to remember that rules are transitory but models are far less so. Also we should remember that Valrak is basically creaming his pants over this so we will probably be happy

I don't recall seeing it said, so i'll say it. The whole "be prepared to adapt" reads a lot to me like the new templars might be a fair bit different from what we're used to.  Probably shouldn't expect the same old packages to return with a new coat of paint, the ideal setups might be entirely different. Don't expect that to be librarians and mass devestator squads... but well our optimal style of play has been gun line armies before, so anything possible.

I personally hope our new book does encourage CC over shooting, but I would not be surprised to see the opposite happen.

Didnt want people going and thinking we were gonna be a Gunline army. I mean, we always COULD do that...but Gunline Black Templars were a 5th edition Marshal Laeroth wants to make an old codex work thing. Lol Edited by Marshal Laeroth

As our bodies are armoured with Adamantium, our souls are protected with our loyalty. As our bolters are charged with death for the Emperor's enemies, our thoughts are charged with his wisdom. As our ranks advance, so does our devotion, for are we not Marines? Are we not the chosen of the Emperor, his loyal servants unto death? - Chaplain Fergas Nils

Hah. Fair enough :tongue.:

in the beast arises series ( just heard it ) there must be a part where a entire BT force (only infantry) is going to charge a big ork force...

As I heard this I thought on my Black Tide lists back in 6th edition ( short before desastrous SM Codex)
