I'm starting to feel like June is too early, considering how little they're talking about CSM. We got 1 article showing the new statline (again), and then an article last week about the combat patrol box. I almost feel like there's been a lot of supply chain problems with the CSM release specifically and it's been pushed back like 4 times, haha.

I'm at the point where I don't even want to play my other armies, I just want to play my Black Legion...but it feels so bad playing them right now.

I was expecting there to be at least one a week, but things aren’t progressing quickly.

To be fair, they were a bit clear on things. Expect slowness.

More information is leaking from the Eye of Terror as we speak, so stay tuned to Warhammer Community as we drip-feed the juiciest reveals in the coming months.

I actually like that we don't get the chaos release now... let me spend the money I have on my wedding and then they can release all the sweet new models so my wife to be doesn't dump me for going broke...

I wouldn't mind some extra rules confirmations though... especially for the chosen I allready have and are waiting to be built.

Aye, it would be wishful thinking to get both HH and CSM in the same month I think.  HH is arguably the bigger release and needs more advertising/time investment.  I'd love for CSM to be released tomorrow but I think a reasonable guess would be last weekend of June/first weekend of July at the earliest. Plus if the rumours are true about how long the HH box has been ready to be released and delayed for, the HH fans deserve to pip us to release

I'll definitely be glad to see the loadouts available for all units in the codex and whether they've changed after playtesting. If I can have 5 man squads with a heavy weapon (like loyalists) I'll at least be somewhat happy with the Legionnaire changes :biggrin.:

More meta wonderings Chris.

I wonder what you actually fear from GW. Obviously it makes sense to be afraid that your source might be identified and sued, but at the same time I can't really think of a way that GW could make that case. Are you or your source afraid that GW might retaliate in some other way? Maybe in the future there will be stricter protocol with play testers making leaks harder to come by in the future?

I understand that you may not want to answer this question, but I am always curious about the way people think.

Or it could just be as simple as a playtester wishing to preserve their access to future playtesting/early rules access opportunities coming from GW. This isn't rocket science. Either way, let's keep the discussion on 9e CSM, not the motivation behind leaks. :)

Releasing the new codex in the same month that a new mayor gaming system is released would surprise me. Maybe by the end of June / beginning of July?

I got the feeling that close to HH and a couple of weeks after release everything else takes a back seat.

I'm slowly painting my csm as EC, when they get a new codex, like at least 1.5/2+ years in the future, and if I can't use my units, I will just use them as a slaanesh aligned warband.

Let's be honest, it is highly unlikely they will release the EC codex before 2 years.  Before that we have world eaters, and 10th edition. if you were to tell me EC vs marines would be the new launch/starters boxes for 10th edition I can accept that. Before that? nah

So Blackheart is missing from his plinth at WHW, he's missing from the Webstore and is getting better stats in the new codex. I'm now reasonably sure we're going to see a new model for him soon!

I'm sure he's just popped out for a smoke. :teehee:   Actually, though, your reasoning seems pretty sound.  I wonder if he's being "embiggened" like Abadon was.

Currently the only Finecast kits left are: The Nurgle Daemon prince, Noise Marine upgrades and Lucicus the Eternal. We know that EC will get their codex at some point and I'm assuming that the Nurgle Daemon prince will be retired when the new prince drops.

Embiggening Huron makes sense to help get rid of Finecast (he's also ridiculously small compared to the entire Chaos range), plus it also adds more fuel for my Hypetrain

Hopefully when they do re-do him, they fix his armour. Second most powerful warlord in the Eye and he's still limping around with missing chunks of armour :biggrin.:

To be fair, the same plinth also uses the old Daemon Prince and Possessed models while we are getting new ones, so unfortunately I don't think it's a proof of anything, as much as I'd love Huron to get a new face lift. It's possible the original model was unavailable for some reason or even got damaged during transport.

The Red Corsairs are also the most widespread users of Chaos Bikers, and since we're rumoured to get new models for those... They could perhaps be part of a second wave or something?
