I've been following this thread for a while now and I've been wondering if there was any information on what goodies chaos undivided might get?

Especially for my Word Bearers?!

I.e., some more info on unmarked units?

Thanks!

I mean what wpuld you like to know that is not already in the recap post.

Well, you mentioned in the recap post under other "Unmarked units gain some support from stratagems and renegade traits (build a warband)".

Some more info on these mentioned stratagems maybe, and just some clarification on the renegade traits? Does that mean for example, an unmarked unit picks one of these to get? Do you have to pick one trait for the whole army when creating your list? Just some more info on unmarked units in general if possible? Does that mean chosen units that are unmarked, get two of these?

As for info on Word Bearers, any info at all would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Plus one for word bearers info please! I’d love to know what the relics do, whether they’ve changed from faith and fury, also whether or not their strats are changed, mainly the auto 6 save roll one, and the auto cast a psychic power which can’t be denied! (Can’t remember the names sorry!).

I would assume that the "support from renegade traits" is in reference to the specific trait that you can only choose for your warband if you are unmarked. I could be wrong though

All right roller coaster ride of a morning, I will start woth the bad news

Chaos lord

-can only have bolt or plasma pistol

custom legion traits

-as like every other codex, pick 2 to build you own warband unless the trait is all encompassing then you only get the one

-undivided trait is all encompassing

Chosen

-the rule is simply pick a trait from the custom legion traits, if the unit is markless it can pick any custom trait except the marked ones, if the unit is marked it can pick its mark specific one or any of the markless ones

-chosen cannot use an all encompassing trait as their extra trait

Generic WLT

-for the puposes of CA ennemy units always count as if at half strength

Generic stratagems

-for bolt rounds +6" & +1ap for the unit

BL stratagems

-1 unit can be considered destruction/massacre/slaughter at the same time, core units only

EC info

-noise marine weapons are GOOD, i wont push him more, he is clesrly not ready to share this

-EC dont need to pay for slaanesh marks

EC stratagems

-honour the prince is still there

-the sonic weapons strat does mortal wounds now, no longer +1s +1d

WB stratagems

-no more strat for possessed +1d

-the auto pass psyker spell is still there

-the auto save strat has been changed to take 0 damage instead

-they have 2 strats that affect daemonkin or possessed

IW stratagems

-reduce incoming ap strat is gone

-cultist bodyguards are still therw

NL WLT

-+1 CA to ennemies & always consolidate 3" in any direction, even if touching base to base

NL stratagems

-if you slay the ennemy warlord, +1 CA to ennemies for the rest of the game

I assume chaos lord’s aura changed to only target core? Apologies if you covered that already.

Black Legion are sounding pretty good, that strat is very nice! Chaincannons havocs in heavy? Mmm, mmm, mmm.

Also glad to see the WB stuff mostly intact.

Some nice info there, thanks!

Excited for the bearers of the word, even just having the much better legion trait!

Sorry if its just my comprehension skills, but am I right in saying that all unmarked units, that are Word Bearers for example, will get to choose one of the create a warband traits?

Would be interesting to see how much the dark hereticus disciple has changed, and how much access the balefire acolyte has to this!?

Also, curious to find out whether combi weapons for squad leaders are still a thing, not sure if that has been pooh poohed already?

Some nice info there, thanks!

Chosen are the only unit in csm that get to get an additional trait, its equivalent to the veteran traits of 3.5

So no nobody can get an additional trait apart from chosen. Really there is little benefit if any so far to actually play unmarked.

Thanks for the update, a tad bit of a bummer, but it is what it is! :D

More stuff

NL relics

-claws of the black hunt are back but jave been renamed, S+1 ap3 D2, does not gain reroll wounds instead gains ennemies canoot use rules that ignore wounds

-vox daemonicus is 12" no deepstrike & ennemies must pass a leadership test or cannot perform actions or psychic actions

- flayer is still there and seem to be exactly the same

If you want a laugh, leaker pointed out in terms of weapons names the book is a mess. Lightning claws appear 3 times under different names

-Warpclaws (for warp talons, dont worry they -are lightning claws in everything but name)

Accursed weapons

-And actual lightning claws

Mostly good news! I will say I am unsure how to feel about the change to the sonic strat. Depends on how many mortals I can do and I guess it depends on the new weapon profile as well. Gotta wait to hear that news. Does your friend have any general feel of when this will be released? The year of chaos is looking more like a half year at this point.

Generic stratagems

-for bolt rounds +6" & +1ap for the unit

Does this include heavy bolters and combi bolters?

All bolt weapons so thst includes heavy bolters.

Could you ask if rubric marines have access to this strat?

That is a good question. It's been stated that Cult Marines will have access to army rules (I'm assuming doctrines) but not legion traits. Will they be able to be the targets of strats?
