Cults of Declanation

During the pandemic a friend and I started planning out a campaign where a nurgle cult starts taking over a planet.

To start with it have been run in a kill team esq type fashion.

So far we are 5 games in and it is all to play for!

It started with 5 arbitor (Tempest Scions) raiding an unsanction cult (renegade cultists) meeting.

The Cultists did not do well and inspite of their efforts to break out and run from the encircling Arbites all of them were arrested and taken in for questioning where they broke and confess all that they knew

Which fortunately was not a lot....

This alert triggered a response from the local inquisitor who dispatched a number of his retinue to shadow Arbites Investigation.

The investigation led to a combined raid by the adeptus arbites and the inquisitorial retinue on a gang meeting which comprised of cultists and mutants. the raid was not entirely successful as a number of mutants and gangers escaped along with most of the leadership. There was however a significant amount of damage done to the size of both gangs.

Intelligence gathered from the captured gangers and mutants suggested that the cult were looking for something in the underhive and the inquisitorial retinue went in search of those hunters while the Arbites Investigated rumours that the mutant leader had survived the purge.

The inquisitors retinue were backed up with his indentured engineseer to investigate whatever was found. By chance they encountered the gang as they uncovered the object in an abandoned section of the underhive.

Caught unaware the retinue took heavy fire and were forced to fall back after taking many wounds. Before they retreated the engineseer fought his way to a vantage point in order to see what it was that the cult had uncovered.

The engineseer wasn’t able to quantify what he saw. However, aetheric readings suggested the artefact had a dark warp aura.....
