Sir Ian Livinstone gets knighthood

Recommended Posts

For those that are interested in this kind of thing, Games Workshop founder Ian Livingstone has been given a knighthood in the queen's new years honours list as 'One of the founding fathers of the UK games industry'

Link came up in my feed, so thought I'd share. It's more for his work with video games, but still noteworthy.

Let's also not get into the discussion about people's views on the honours list themselves please.

Congratulations, Ian!

Something is quite funny about a man who taught the world to play with tiny plastic/pewter knights actually becoming a knight himself, but anyway, awesome news.

++EDIT++ My bad I was thinking Ian Watson for a second... I know too many Ians. Well done regardless Ian, your Fighting Fantasy books started this expensive hobby of mine. :laugh.:

The title is a bit vague - my automatic assumption was that he'd died.

I just found out Betty White dies yesterday... For real this time...

Anyhoo thats OT so.. yeah well done Ian, is anybody gonna dig out any Fighting Fantasy books to celebrate?
