Is the Razorback the first tank?  Its a great looking model.  I've so far been able to resist the Joytoy line but if they bring out a Chimera or a Russ my wallet will crumble.

Baal Predator was the first one. Though I seem to remember seeing repulsor prototypes somewhere

Slight missed opportunity with the Razorback IMO to have a swappable top plate in the box so it can either be a Razorback or a Rhino. Though then again that might pose an engineering conundrum if they wanted the top hatch to open whilst still being fully swappable.

I had my doubts from the pictures, but now that he's arrived, I actually like him a lot more than I thought would

Edit: 2 models I would wishlist:

- IW breachers

- IW operated Rapier heavy weapons platform

Now the rest has arrived as well.

I have collected 12 regular marine size models so far and I gotta say:

Wow, the tyrant is such a chonk, much more presence in real life than the pictures give away.

And heavy when you hold him, but in a good way.

Awesome to hear. You are missing a little missile?

No it's there, I just left it in the package for now.

It is optional because you can alternatively slot in a missile mid -firing, with a smoke trail shooting out of the hole (also still in the box).

sanguinary guard look great here honestly.

I honestly thought the new sculpts were an upgrade, apart from the Primaris jump packs which are horrible! I’m glad the lost the wings they were to on the nose and just looked kinda janky the DC chaplains looked way better

never really get the BA update hate the characters were amazing especially Lamartes

I've managed to hold form at the Heresy Primaris, and have been resisting Legionnaires, as it's a slippery slope.

However, I couldn't pass up Cypher.

Okay, fraters, I've got questions for you Joytoy pros, since I was looking to get a Joytoy Astartes...finally. But when I started to look at all the sweet figures I read stuff about scale differences, different versions (up to 4 by now?) and saw the comparison pics between Titus and the "standard" Primaris figures.

So, uh, can someone enlighten me what's going on here? I was looking forward to get some cool Ultramarine figure, maybe the SM2 Calgar, but found that he looks cool but might not fit in with more of the figures. What are the differences? Is SM 2 Calgar also that much bigger than the rest of the range? Are the SM 2 figures an exemption from the rest of the line? Are there more size variations aside from the obious Primarch vs Astartes ones? The proportions seem to vary, too. The Fists Apothecary seems way more realistic vs some earlier figures which have more heroic scale proportions.

And what are some cool Ultramarines you would recommend if I might only get one or two of them...maybe 3? :D

As far as I'm aware each "line" is comparable between itself. The three are 30k, 40k, and SM2.

I have a range of 40k figures ( 1 each of the first founding) ranging over v1 to v3, and they're all consistent with their yable-top scale differences for TDA, Gravis and mkX.

The only Heresy ones I have are the Primarchs, and they've all been pre-orders, so first version of each, and their scale is also consistent. Magnus and Horus appropriately tower over Alpharius and Russ for example.

Here's some pics

I've seen scale creep in the waves, the standard troops are getting bigger.  They are getting taller, by maybe 1cm and just chunkier, the chest is bigger, the leg armour is thicker, you can see from this side-by-side.  The things that don't seem to change is head/helmet, backpack, shoulder pads, hand and weapon size.

I can't speak to the scale differences and changes between the various JoyToy figures but I can recommend the Heresy Ultramarines captain in MK III armor. I added battle damage and highlights to the figure. The paint is already good but I thought it could use a bit of a glow-up. I've been tempted to buy more figures (Abaddon!) but so far, have held strong.
