From what I saw, he recently had a sale that gave him a lot of orders... maybe he overstretched and is struggling to cope with the demand? Hopefully, you get a positive outcome and thaere is some sort of explanation/response to the situation coming soon... we can live in hope :) .

Models and Mini's issue has been resolved....Money has been refunded.

Chimera is being moved to my Inquisition forces and sadly no Inquisitorial Stormtroopers in the Imperial Agents codex and eventually I will starting working on these guys again.

I think there will be some changes for Scions with the addition of Aquilons for 40k. I wonder if Scions will loose Deepstrike since Aquilons will be the deepstrike/ Valkyrie deployment  element.

Well since Models and minis went belly up and I did not receive my wheeled chimera or Taurox kits, let’s see if Elrik’s hobbies can get their version (Really the old Blood and Skulls ones) out to me.

They have made a pretty strong point in the articles of saying all scions are trained to deploy by grav chute.

I think it's more likely the aquillons will be jump infantry and maybe have a rule that they don't count towards numbers of units in reserve. Possibly a stratagem to re-enter reserve as well.

I figure they will be 60/ 120 pts for 5/10 models (possibly 65/ 130pts), won't have battleline or have the ability to take it. I could see an HQ model to join the unit as well.

Aquilions 40K rules are now live.

I am enh about them but will still add a squad at least. Not seeing them as elite as their background makes them.

Agreed, I was hoping to use them as some sort of forward recon unit for my army but I don't see why I wouldn't just take 3 squads of kasrkin instead

They're not Kasrkin replacements.  They're 20 points cheaper than Kasrkin, and do a different job. They don't replace anything, and shore up a weakness that we have, which is close deep strike objective flipping.

Kasrkin/Current Scions (I think these two units DO share a job, though I think they go about it in different enough ways that they both have use cases; the job being big damage early contact and hopeful Reinforcement recycling (Kas do it through Scouting or T2/T3 walk ons, Scions do it through Deep Striking and dumping damage before dying)) do not fill the niche of objective flipping or chaff busting; if you're bothering to spend your Kasrkin on shooting Cultists, you're using your Kasrkin wrong.  These guys, however, will be GLAD to find a unit of Poxwalkers/Intercessors/Battle Sisters sitting around somewhere to gobble up, as they land 3" away and just obliterate whatever they're looking at.

They're there to eliminate a backfield unit holding an objective that your opponent didn't account for.  Since they can drop 3", they can almost certainly land on whatever objective is being contested, and if they can't, most likely they'll shred whatever unit is and either take away the control, or be able to flip the control on your next turn.

Think about it this way; you rapid ingress these on T3 on whatever unit is on an objective you need to contest (Whether it's their home objective held by a small squad of battleline, or a forward objective being action'd on), and immediately you get a shot from the turret, which will absolutely devastate anything you should be aiming them at (They're chaff busters, for sure, don't be pointing them at anything with any bit of hardiness).  Place them well, enemy can't really interact with them, since their movement is already done, and then on your turn, you're already in melta range, and then also get the benefit of Heavy to your Sniper character, hitting on 2's at that point and wounding most targets you're aiming at on a 4, with 3 damage and -2 AP (meaning it still is good against units behind cover).  Now add on to it that if you can keep it to your own turn for dropping, that turret gets TWO rounds of shooting with whatever gun you chose for it...

These guys are spicy as hell.

Yeah I may have jumped the gun on this one, reading into it they might be quite effective as has been said above. I think melta gun will be the default special weapon to give some tasty anti armour capability.

I also really like that the tempestor can take a lasgun and isn't locked to a pistol and ccw, it has always bugged me that they force squad leaders to have that loadout.

For me I will still be taking 6 squads of scions but I may drop to 2 kasrkin squads and add a team of these in

I am sticking to an all Militarum Tempestus force with the exception of the Valkyries and Tarous Venerators. I originally was sold on the Plasma carbine but more I debate it in my head the Melta carbine is better. Yeah it loses 2 inches but the plasma loses 6. Plus deepstriking with in 3". They are going to be interesting.

Aquilons acquired. Bare heads are smaller and to scale with the Eisenkern helmets more then the Scions heads were. My gaming group has been discussing doing some sorta of campaign/ league game with my kids.  We are starting slow grow league, starting with 500 points and growing up to 1500 pts over a few months of play.  I am planning on taking the 54th Psian Jackals!

So work is so much with OT this week but I was able to get 2 models built out of the Aquilons

large.IMG_1380.jpeg.26d6b2e91e85f504f0e886c5e1e7f7f6.jpeg

both models have their Eisenkern Helmets on their belts. Squad will have melta carbine, marksmen, and Hot Shot volley gun.  Hopefully I can get the rest of team built this week.
