Valkyrion
Marksman Bolt Carbine: Each time an attack is made with this weapon, an unmodified hit roll of 6 automatically wounds the target. Chapter Tactic: Each time a model with this tactic makes an attack with a bolt weapon, an unmodified hit roll of 6 scores 1 additional hit. If I roll a 6 with my infiltrator, do I cause 2 automatic wounds, or do I cause 1 automatic wound and roll to wound for the additional hit? Rogue
Just the one automatic wound. The additional hit still happens, but counts as a 'normal' hit rather than a 6, so still needs to roll to wound. It's in the rulebook FAQ, I think. Valkyrion, XeonDragon and librisrouge 3 Back to top
Sword Brother Adelard
What Rogue said. There was a period in 8th when the additional hits had the same value as the dice that procured it, but some power gamers used this to argue that a 6 which created an additional hit created an infinite hit loop, so everything would just die if one 6 was rolled. GW rolled it back after a few weeks. XeonDragon and BLACK BLΠFLY 2 Back to top
Valkyrion
Thanks. I thought that would be the case, but nice to see it in writing.
Xenith
This is in the rulebook errata: If a hit roll scores additional hits, those additional hits do not benefit from any other rule that triggered on the original attack’s hit roll.
