Someone did a watch party for that episode on discord - have to say the lore and art are excellent thus far. Looking forward to seeing folks paint up that free hearthkin model. Going to pop into GW tomorrow and ask when they will have them in. Might see if I can persuade my girlfriend to go in for an extra one...practice paint scheme! [although the necromunda squats have been great for that].

I would imagine the Leagues are in a similar boat to Sisters etc, in that the launchbox will come a few months ahead of the full mainline release with the codex in the box. The codex will include all units that will be released for them in this wave, likely with NOVA showing off a good chunk of what's to come.

That's Odin the Grimnyr. They're pretty much the new Living Ancestors, yep.

I hate to jump on the ol band wagon but I am really liking the looks of the basic troops, which is huge for me. Since we are likely to use a good number of them. 

so so on the bikes. 

The other models look cool. And orange theme for the cloth and bone or white / bone look for the armor might be where I go with them.

I've been waiting to do an orange prisoner look for a while. (I know they aren't prisoners )

I like the basic troops but have either been meh on the other releases or I outright dislike them. The vehicles in particular all look terrible to me (Philips razors and space bin lorries).

I guess I should be grateful for all the money I’ll be saving!

I don't understand why GW insisted on stressing how ironkin are just like all the rest of kin and how they are treated as equall memebers of the dwarven society only to make them drones/servitors on the tabletop, who are not even mixed into normal units.

Keeping sexual reproduction makes  sense if you're making pioneers and explorers, it's a fail safe should anything happen to your clone factory in a far away planet.

I agree on the vehicles but the basic troops also don't excite me. The models I like are the HQs and Elites that are properly decorated knotwork, icons and other "dwarfish" imagery. If the whole army had been done with this aesthetic, I would have been seriously tempted. As it stands, my wallet stands firm against temptation (probably just as well).

I'm pretty sure this wave is a fair bit larger than Lumineth 1.0.

I think 10th 40k will ensure that won't happen, since there'll inevitably be a big Space Marine wave and whatever the 'antagonist' faction is taking up most of 2023's second half.

The initial wave feels pretty substantial, but still with room for more. My guess is it'll be a GSC situation, so a second wave after a couple of years but not so quickly as SoB/Lumineth.
