Fankraker
I'm planning on starting a Thousand Sons army with an alternate sandstone colour scheme for their power armour, what paints/techniques do you all use to achieve that effect? Karhedron
Averland Sunset makes a good base for sandstone. I would apply shading to the recesses with Seraphim Sepia and then highlight with Ushabti Bone and White scar. It should give you a yellow-ish livery but with a beige tone rather than a bight yellow like Imperial Fists.
