Are RW Flyers competative?

So I'm modifying my RW tournament list and I'm wondering if AoC grants RW flyers, particularly the Dark Talon, the boost to survavibility they need to be competitive after the last round of points cuts. They still seem a little squishy to me but what do the sons of the lion here think?

They are super squishy, there is nothing you can do about that.

I play a Dark Talon and it rarely survives the game.  Keep it as far away from everything as possible and when you want to rift cannon some high value target, make sure you have all the buffs you can get (+1 to hit from a landspeeder strat for example).
I almost never play for the bomb in RW, but in a mixed force its great.  It can leave you close to the enemy though so maybe wait until you have secured a board half before committing.

High Speed Focus and AoC help but I still get one good and one depleted shot out of it per game and that usually covers its cost.
