AROOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Great God Emperor I missed BnC! Having to find alternate sources of 40k and spacewolf content was brutal! So glad we are back on line.

As the title says what hobbying did you get done in the BnC's absence?

The BnC is  a big motivator for me so I was not as productive as I could have been, but I did get 10 Assault Intercessors and a Chaplain on a bike assembled for my Primaris half of my forces. (No pics because I forgot to take em) and I did get a start on converting more wolf appropriate blade guard, still waiting on bits for that project though.

How about you guys?

Honestly, not much! But I am actually working on fixing up my Land Raiders and getting some Skyclaws ready for painting to get a new Wolves list on the go. Will try and get some pictures later, though they're mostly just grey (or Griffons yellow/red anyway) at the moment.

I built a contemptor and am building a kratos

I finished my little Stormcast dragons project and resumed painting my Idomitus Wolves again after over a year. Just some Bladeguard to start.

I've been building some HH grey slayers

After painting so many large armies, I confess I dislike painting first born marines a lot.  So while the BnC was being worked on I assembled and painted a 6 man squad of long fangs and that’s just for a bit of variety.  Also started assembling the Wulfen, but I honestly have tried a bunch of builds but have no idea how to build them.  I actually  prefer hammers on the TWC so they are also half built right now.

Sadly, my Wolves have been on the backburner for many months - I have recently completed a Grey Knights army (which went 3-2 at a Tempest of War event) and I've got Heresy on the go now. 

 

I don't know why, but I've really been struggling to summon up enthusiasm for the Sons of Russ of late. At some point I am going to convert up a squad of Bladeguard, but I've been saying that since Indomitus dropped...

Bladeguard are lovely! Hoof way to get back into groove...

Yea, even the new Mk6 are quite... smallish, now that we know the feel and look of Primaris.

ABSOLUTELY! I'll be honest, I am crap at keeping track of stuff, but I put that in my list of stuff to check evrry now and then.

 

Well, to be honest... I actually went on a bit of a hobby break while the B&C. 

I have painted quite regularly over the past few months, after my (then) gf had went to bed. It was a good way to actually get stuff done hobbywise while also relaxing from the day. I still owe you some pics of the last few things I painted. (I have to confess posting pics on Instagram was easier and the little like-hearts and comments are motivating purity seals for the armour of my heart.)

 

But I also went on a hobby break because preparations for getting married last weekend... do not worry, the spirits of Fenris were with me...

 

After that is done now, I can back into the hobby. I actually kept myself from buying the big HH box, fearing it would add too much to my still existing pile of shame (I still have squads of Mk3 and Mk4, Grey Slayers, Leman Russ and his Wolves, etc.).

BUT I got myself the two praetors and a single 10 man Mk6 squaf off of ebay... 

So the last two evenings I started to build the Mk6 Squad into Veterans/Specialists. Just for fun. The detail grade is immense, even compared to recent Primaris releases. 

And I thought the "shiny" new armor would be issued to the most venerable of brothers in the Legion. Hope my ideas work out... will post pics in a few days.

I'm also fighting hard to stay off HH for now. Like the joytoy stuff, I just don't have the space for more piles of plastic at the moment...

As for what I built in the downtime. Nothing, for any of my armies. But I did find some bits that fell off my Wolves and Chaos marines when I moved house... Actually I have neglected my wolves the past 6 months so I may dig them out and crack on with base coating.
