I wasn't quite sure what Aldario is asking for, did Falk give him the holopic in his last post? (or possibly not yet?)

If he's already got the pic, maybe he's actually asking for Scourge to finish it? It looks like we might have reached him, for a moment at least, but his situation is not something you can ever come all the way back from?

Either that or the Warden is playing games...

In this episode of "Naked and Afraid," Nicios faces down an unholy abomination... au naturel! Watch sparks fly and sanity drain in this exciting climax!

Well, at least your natural weapons won't get jammed.

From my reading Falk is approaching with the holocameo hanging out of hand by the chain, based on that, Aldario Sr is opening his hand to receive it.

If that's wrong, @A.T. just let me know and I'll adjust.

I think I may have missed the bit about the holocameo from earlier in the campaign. Was this something that Falk discovered in the crypt?

Kraevus gave it to Falk before killing himself. Thought it would be a good idea to hold onto it.

Would I be right in assuming that the recent IC epic-ness constitutes Falk's Actions for this Round, but Scourge, Bardas and Nicios still have their Round 4 Actions to go?

@Mazer Rackham I guess we will have to table the Faustian bargain for the time being, owing to the seeming lack of heretics to smite, barring a couple of summary executions.

I suspect those shields might need a good hammering. Though I still wonder if the golem was hinting at something with its original speach.

The night is young, and there's everything to die for yet.

If I had a hammer - oh, wait!

Immediate inspection of these shields will prove them to be Armiger Engine Class hard shields, which are impenetrable by matter or energy when powered (hence the strange glossy and partially blurred effect of the effigies behind them. Use this to inform your narrative when you approach them.

Getting back to this, as Bardas might reach the shield this round. Are they like Gungan Episode 1 shields where energy and fast solid matter can’t pass through but slow can (albeit with a little resistance), or are they more akin to the reactor fields that trapped Ewan and Liam.

Good question!

If it's the latter and there's no way through, I assume we either need to switch off or wreck the generators in order to get in?

@Mazer Rackham did you say the terminals were at the feet of each statue, so inside the shields?

It is War HAMMER, Tro.

Hard shields. Exceptionally advanced. Throw an egg on 'em and have breakfast.

Yes, because this isn't Star Wars, and I enjoy your suffering. Er, because the adventure must be challenging for such canny players.

There are also 4 green terminals around each of the four statues that we could have used for cover. Reynard is next to one.

This is correct, there are terminals at these plinths. A Challenging (+0) Intelligence Test will gain access.

I'm mentally debating whether to try an Int test (not Tech-Use?) on one of the terminals...

...or go after the generator directly!

The Int test is perhaps safer, but with limited chances of success? (And a lot less fun! )

Given that we're already half way out of time, I'm inclined to just go for the direct approach? But I figured I should ask everyone else before I start shooting bolt shells into power sources...?

Edit: also, the outer terminals seem like a time wasting red herring. What idiot would put the controls to a forcefield just outside the forcefield??

"Be careful what you shoot at - things down here don't react well to bullets."

Star Wars Imperial Engineers...?

If memory serves, those controls were a trap too... :whistling:

Yep, thought so. :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Genuinely, though, I'm not sure which way to go. People's thoughts as to how we should handle this would be appreciated...

It's late where I am, think I'll sleep on it and post in the morning.

I'm at a bit of a loss myself, but I suspect Nicios/Lord_Ikka was on the right track hurling psychic dakka at the Golem's effigy? Perhaps the force field generators can be disrupted with mind bullets?
