"Can you recall what De Grassi was saying in the casino? Not just about the antidote, but something about his Lover? I think he's involved too!"

De Grassi was to wed Magda (the real one) - Falk would have mentioned it during their last catch up.

Just want to drop this in here for future reference, the Campaign Rules have been updated with the following:

8. PC's wishing to acquire any Training, (Bolt) or (Power) will require someone to teach them. Talents involving SP/Las/Chain/Shock/Primitive are fairly Monkiegh See - Monkeigh Do, so I don't have a problem with that, since the PC's are around the stuff a lot, and it's reasonably intuitive.

Yes, let's have the man who was blown up and stitched back up, and now operated upon and stitched back up, all within a roughly 24-48 hour timespan moderate the Q&A panel.

"So for our first question we'd like--"

"EXISTENCE IS SUFFERING."

"But..."

<Muffled screaming>

"We'll be going now."

Completely random thought, but this reminded me of Harry for the BBC Radio Science Fiction/Comedy show Nebulous.

So who could tech Training (Bolt)? Asking for a Friend.

Karthago is one, presumably. The Arbitrators use bolt weapons, so I assume one of them could too? (Unfortunately, while I've got the cash for the Bolt Pistol I want, I can't get the Training until the next Rank, at least 1100 XP away!)

Edit: just a random thought, but is there any way to convert Thrones into XP, i.e. to offer to pay someone to provide Training in a given skill set?

MG makes a good point that I had forgotten a bit - do we need the real Magda brought back to the land of the living, and so should we use Dreyfuss' vial on her and see what happens? I'm guessing that was what De Grassi planned to do with it?

Did her cryostasis pod get brought down to the Halls of Judgement along with all the other evidence?

250 Thrones for an unloaded Bolt Pistol then 16 Thrones per bolt, 8 bolts to a magazines.

The blurb says that owning one will beggar the bearer.

Falk heard the Dead Man's Click.

I was just thinking, as Scourge ‘inherited’ Valkyrie’s armour, would he also want to try and use her boltgun.

Did the boltgun survive? He would be able to receive training in bolt weapons at this new rank, I believe.

Bolt(pistol) and Bolt(basic) are skills for arbites at rank 4.

Falk isn't nearly wealthy enough to learn it and pass it on though :p

I like your moxie!

No, it doesn't work that way, unless it's a GM Reward, all Advances must be bought with XP. You can pay someone to train you, but all that does is open the Advance for purchase, as it gives me a reason as GM to allow it. Let's say you want to take Speak Language (Tau). Well you can pay for it with xp, but where the hell did you learn it? For something so outside of a Character's wheelhouse, you either need to spend time in a Tau prisoner re-education camp er, Honoured Guest Centre, or have someone teach you.

With Lasguns, stubguns, autopistols, I would think most, if not all characters would have come across these weapons, or been around them, used them. Fairly intuitive. Bolters and their derivatives are so rare (supposedly), that specialist knowledge and training for it is at a premium.

I'll save us all the IC headache, no. It was installed into a crypt and would take serious work to retrieve it. The police are very busy, and have merely sealed the area off with a detail.

I think(?) all weapons come loaded when you buy them, then you pay extra for reloads...?

That's how it works in the games I run.

It did!

It's not a purchased weapon though, so as Tro correctly surmises, as a battlefield pick up, you get what's in it. I think it has about half a magazine, I'd have to check, although technically it should have been emptied and made safe by the Verispexers, but machine spirits, a lack of training, and the reverence for the ritual of unloading may have been the cause there.

Speaking of which, you can certainly use it, reload it etc, but you better save the FP's for Jams, because without the Training, you aren't getting that sucker running again when you get a double-feed/FTE/Light-strike/TMH failure etc and you can slather unguents all over it like an 80's Beach-Bodybuilder TV Show, GM says no.

EDIT: Just as an aside to save messing about, Karthago does not have Training in (Bolt) so he can't use or modify them. Greyson, Haldane and Absolom Drake do, but it's a question of where you want to spend the resource. If they're teaching you how to shoot, they're not masking you from the Golem.

Amazing if so! Praythee, Mazer, does Cephas have any exposed power armour sockets or telltale signs of the Black Carapace or other gene-enhancements? I doubt even Scourge would have the wherewithal to recognize an Astartes unarmoured, especially seeing as how he has only recently served with penal legions and the Angels of Death are a rather rare sight.

Rats.

I'm assuming he's not a Custodes, otherwise we can all go home and just leave it to him to finish up...?

@Lysimachus That was directed at Necro's very clever post, trying to rephrase your question and get the GM to admit things.

Just sit back, relax.

Let it happen.

I feel it ended up a tad rumably, maybe i'll have another go in the morning to get Bardas's thoughts down.

@Lord_Ikka, if you want to post about the lift, that's fine, but we can move you and A.T on to rendezvous either at the Spaceport or with the time the others have moved on, directly to the Halls Of Judgement.

Preferences, chaps?

Sounds like circumstances had aborted the raid on Canthus while Falk and Nicios were downhive. The raid itself may no longer be needed either as Kreavus said Canthus was unaware and either he, the guards, or Tracer may have a way to corner them - assuming they are doing anything now except running for the hills but they were the last people we saw with the sample from the lab.

Apologies, was napping before work- I'm good to just run to the lift and GTF out.
