Scourge shrugs and starts blasting away at the witch. I mean she did ask for it.

Oh, you've got to allow that, GM! Possibly the funniest moment of the game so far!!! :laugh::laugh:

Edit: Also, I'm pretty sure that microscope is daemonically possessed (maybe the Golem's little brother) as it fell out of Reynard's pocket back when he was climbing through into the hidden bit of Dreyfuss' lab. IT KEEPS COMING BACK TO HIS POCKET!!!

Hmm, I have rolled for Helene, and she does win...but it is only just, as she has a larger WPB, but...perhaps there is latitude for so-called 'malicious compliance'.

I shall contemplate this.

@Mazer Rackham - I'm Larping over Easter till Tuesday. You can NPC Kerr Restal

Should I assume Kerr Restal will stick with Bardas and narrate acordingly, or is he going to pick one of the other routes?

Yes, Restal will stick with you, for simplicity. Further, you may claim an Assistance Bonus from him at any point, for any Test.

Nothing quite like following a poorly worded request to the letter.

@Mazer Rackham so given a player's choice I would most likely have Scourge step back, eat an opportunity attack, equip the bolter as ordered and start blasting Helene, but as you said it is quite obvious she has psychically compelled my character to attack a fellow player character, which given the DH1e ruleset could very well be fatal. Unfortunately, this seems pretty straightforward, all joking aside. My understanding of compulsion powers would lead me to believe that there's not really any particular wiggle room for interpretation of intent, as telepathic powers convey images and words. I don't have a problem with disobeying the command within reason, and of course there are ways to encourage an outcome in which Scourge misses, but this is pretty cut and dry by my reckoning.

This isn't rocket surgery, as a former colleague of mine used to say. I'm working on a draft post, but if you'd like to clear anything up before I roll dice and put chisel to stone, as it were, then please fire away.

No. My reading of Compel, plus the Errata on Psychic Power action types, together suggested that the action must use your Turn, hence the offer of a hybrid response to allow you some control over what you were doing.

What can I say, -7 Wounds, with -2 already on the arm, puts her to -9 on the noggin. Her dice were definitely out of luck. Her Unnatural Traits were many, but toughness wasn't one of them.

Don't worry, you'll get another chance for a cuddle in the dark...

Sorry boss, did I misread this? I thought 'it' was Drexler's microbead and Seb had stolen it for Greyson? Is the 'it' something else? In which case I'll edit my post to ask what he was looking for...

Apologies, yes, don't entertain family and post at the same time. I'll clear it up.

EDIT: Done. I'll move the other lads on to Gwynne (if they're still headed there).

Oh, Mazer- Nicios can roll up to 3 dice for his Psychic Powers (due to Pys Rating 3 now), but I rarely will do that unless I'm trying to push through and get Overbleeds. I figured you knew, I just wanted to make that clear as to why there will be fluctuating numbers of dice when rolling. Given Nicios Willpower bonus of 5,  rolling more than one die for minor powers risks phenomena, so generally just one die will be rolled. I'd rather not have any more anti-gravity falls or mind switches than needed...

That's fine Ikka, I appreciate the reminder - I had a pour over the Psychic Powers again when I was plaguing you with Helene, and the Manifest Roll is obviously *may roll up to* your PR allowance.

I'm happy for you to play as intended, no sweat.

Are Gwynne and Nicios just picking up Reynard and co, or is there someone/something else out there?

Without cheating and reading the last post directed at Nicios, I'm not sure whether to add anything else yet?

Maybe you should just stick your head out?  You shouldn't know that Nicios is picking up anything, after all.

WWRD?

(What Would Reynard Do)

In other news, speaking of heads, maybe the trek back should be full of awkward explanations and guilt as to why Scourge nearly blew Nicios' off...

Let the self-flagellation commence!

Edit: also a guy fails one Willpower test, spectacularly I might add, and he never hears the end of it!
