The conversation in the tent can be relayed by vox if you so wish, that wouldn't be a problem, nor would it violate the unspoken meeting terms, so it's perfectly viable.

If you have a post, drop it - just make sure it's always IC information related, that way nothing gets derailed.

@Mazer Rackham - I'm going think happy thoughts and drop my IC post. I'm kicking out That Thought.

What's the range from the party to the juves/spotter/gang leaders?

Gang Leaders (Red) = 30m

Gang Leader (Blue) = 35m

Spotter = 20m

Naughty Juves = Ambush situation, to be narrated at Point Blank

Sniper = 40m

Do filter plugs and similar grant their usual bonus against the gas?

Yes. All equipment works as normal.

Does that help, guys?

How will it work with the spotter... eg Reynard might try to hide/sneak and do so successfully, but if Scourge then bolters the Juves, I'm guessing it won't matter...

How, and what order you take them out in, is up to you. No initiative order, players go and do as they wish. Work togather.

So we now know the identity of the raiders of Bardas' Tech Shrine.

We do?

scurries of to catch up on the IC thread

Edit: interesting, will do a post after dinner as to Bardas's reaction to recent events.

@Lysimachus I'm unsure if it's worth expending precious bolt rounds on these scum, but you may be onto something if it's combined with an intimidation test of some manner. In the meantime, Scourge will try to find something suitable to act as portable cover...

Is our plan to take the shortest path across the square to safety then? I'm a little unsure as to whether we want to rendezvous with the other Arbites or we're just trying to pass through without getting mulched.

Spotter seems like a good bet for Reynard as Scourge can always beat the juves with his axe - or what I imagine would be a rather easy intimidate roll given his power armour.

Falk has a silenced weapon so he'll take dibs on the sniper.

Nicios is in a good place to back up any of us that fail.

*imagining power armoured Knight appearing out of the smoke with a big axe, looming over the juves...

...yep, yep, that should work!

OK cool, sounds like we've got a plan!

Just a quick shout to say that the plot point for Bardas can be fulfilled now. You certainly can have a word with Khosh, since he will not leave until the Voivode does.

Great, will get something up when I cna, but might not be for a few dyas, busy week ahead. so if you need to move the stoy on Bardas can have the conversation in flashback

No sweat, we can focus on the hive group for now, which should allow everyone to catch up. If you want to, you can run independently with the Khamsin Brotherhood, who will drop you back off at the hive, whilst Restal goes back in the Voivode, and Cephas does...whatever he's up to.

Things may slow down a little as I'm onboarding another player for when you boys move to the next segment and face almost certain death.

I'll drop an update soon for everyone. I will split you off @Trokair, so you can bounce around in a dune buggy.

We will assume Cephas completes his mission offscreen.

@Lysimachus - You do know that las-packs can be recharged?

Ha, that's amazing. I knew las-packs could be charged in the fluff, but I had somehow completely missed the box that allows recharging them in the game!

I think I've only used 2 hotshot packs throughout the course of the game, presumably got the empties shoved in a pocket.

@Mazer Rackham Reynard doesn't have Tech-Use, but can he get the military suppliers to recharge the empties? (for less cash than just buying new ones?)

@Lysimachus, yes there should be charging gear, or vendors who can put a charge on for you:

  • Recharging a pack will cost 10 Thrones (this is the cost to have someone do it for you)
  • It will take 1D3 hours (you may roll).

Agreeable?

Edit, read the sidebar wrong, 30% only refers to the "toss it in the fire" method.

In the final sentence of the box, it says 'Each time a pack is recharged in this way' - doesn't that refer to the 'chucking it in a fire' method rather than getting a proper recharge?

That is for chucking them in the fire as there are a number of other ways to recharge them that don't have that side effect. The rank 2 tech-priest talent 'luminen charge' is a good way to get near unlimited ammo.

(and tech priests can also modify weapons to run off their potential coil for actually unlimited ammo, though IIRC that doesn't mesh with things like hotshot charges)
