Agreed!

If the screen has lit up, can we now just open it or do we need to do more Tests? (If we do, has the successful Security test made the required Tech-Use tests any easier?)

@Mazer Rackham have had a busy morning over here. Will get a quick post up shortly, but suffice it to say, Scourge will adopt a defensive posture near Arbites squad 2 as he is still blind.

The thought pops into my head, if this vent is big enough and presumably reaches all the way to the exterior of the Hive, could the Voivode (or a Valkyrie/aircar) be flown down it to our position?

Just trying to think about an escape route if things go pear-shaped...

Role: Acolyte

Qualifications: Any

Sex: Yes please

Job Description: Non-Flammable is essential, also severe allergy to bullets very desirable.

Salary Range: Be thankful you're alive, peasant!

Somehow I think it will take longer than thirty seconds to get out of the nuclear vents.

It is actually an iron law of fiction that it takes precisely as long for the protagonist to escape a corridor/passage/duct/tunnel/etc as necessary to allow them to heroically, and with great style, leap/fly/ride/surf/etc. to safety from an enormous fireball heralding the demise of the villain, all for the benefit of the audience at home. Things like air/fuel mixture, fluid dynamics, narrowness of channel, etc. are mere terms for nerds with physics degrees to fret over the hows, the wheres and the whys, while we, the discerning consumers of quality entertainment, know that no story can truly come to a satisfactory denouement without the villain being incinerated/blasted to smithereens/brutally dismembered/etc. and our intrepid and stalwart hero riding into the sunset with a pillar of flammable material reaching to the heavens behind him as a giant middle finger to Evil(TM) everywhere.

Ooh, is anyone else taking that as Mazer giving written agreement to write us an Episode II...?

Quick, someone bag a screenshot!!

:tongue::laugh:

From my calcs (I've had to move you on a bit and do some fudging, so time was 'lost' in between the updates there as well) I'd say about 3 hours.

I'll update the post with the mission clock.
