Ok gents, if there are no further questions, we'll get going shortly.

So if we set Scourge on fire does the 'running around and screaming' prevent the random shooting from shock or would they both happen? :p

May need to try some kind of charm/deceive test to steer him into the guardian where a little bit of frenzied hammering is less of a risk to everyone else...

Well if you set him on fire, he can then try to beat out the flames with the hammer, solving two problems at once.

Yes and I can finally be free from this extended torture session of a game! :P

Never!

Deep in the wallowing dark of your slumber it shall haunt you! Forever will it be a stain on your deepest psyche, for all the wrong er, right reasons!

In all seriousness this has been a very memorable and fun game, full of twists and turns. You'll be missed, Mazer.

Edit: one other question, shall we continue to have you roll on the scatter table for targets of Scourge's insanity-fueled rampage until he can snap out of it?

Yes, it will work in a similar vein to Nicios/Ikka's Psychic Phenomenon results.

EDIT: TBH I think it's very fitting for Scourge to snap - Reynard's defence is humour, Falk is committed to his duty, Nicios' faith is his shield, Restal has made a friend of the darkness, and for Bardas to loose his marbles for a second is the affront to his deity.

Unhinged at the best of times, Scourge has finally done his tree, because all of his fears and sins are suddenly made manifest in this....thing, and none are faultless, and etc...

Yeah when I got the back-to-back failures for the fear test, I was thinking, "OH NOOOOO!" But then I rolled on the shocking table and it all became clear, and oddly extremely fitting. It has almost come full circle for Scourge, narratively.

It just occurred to me that I don’t know what the blue circles around the three statues on the eastern end of the map are, and I am probably being blind, but could not see an explanation in either thread.

Some sort of force field, I think, mentioned in the narrative in one of Mazer's posts.

I'm guessing - forgot to ask - that the similarly glowing machinery (by 3 and at the bottom) might be something to do with it as well?

Correct.

Lick it?

One more question, which I meant to ask and forgot... what size target are the enemies?

Thralls are described as 7ft tall so I'm guessing Hulking(+10)? And Aldario/Warden even bigger than that?

Dude is 25,000 calories a day buffboi at eight feet ground to crown, and about three to four feet across. He's effectively a Kastelan robot, so Enormous (+20).

The Thralls are indeed Hulking (+10)

Hmm. Not pleased that the Warden threw off the Willpower test so easily. Going to have to think about how Nicios can help out here...

In the time-honored tradition of all psykers during a final boss fight: channel a maximally pushed smite or other psychic damage power, followed by rolling on the psychic phenomena table, followed by rolling on the perils of the warp table and becoming possessed by a greater daemon.

@Lord_Ikka I wouldn't fret about the Warden, that's not 'your' enemy, per se. Your absolute value to the team will show itself shortly.

Also, I'm not liking that Arc Rifle on the Thrall. I'm going to change it to a macrostubber pistol.

Warden, not Golem, durr

It causes Haywire, and 2D10+(something), E, Pen 2. I thought that was too much like Party tailoring. Since no-one has Weapon Training (Exotic - Mechanicum) no-one could even pick it up and use it (well, they can at half-stat) against anything in the room.

I'm open to player suggestion on this, but beware, this is very much a double-edged sword.

Your call, my guy. As you well know, haywire is absolutely brutal against anyone using powered, uh, anything in the 40K rpg system, particularly if they don't have the benefit of being Astartes, who can still somewhat brute force their way past such an inconvenience, albeit at a disadvantage.

Yeah, since the Haywire activates on Hit, not Wounds, it can shut down Scourge at a critical moment, or fry Bardas entirely.

I mean, sure, it would do the same to the Dark Mech as well, but...

I was just curious as it seemed a flavourful weapon for them to have, but yes it could be a tad problematic, or a tad useful. Perhaps only have one thrall have it if you think we need the chance of acquiring one to hurt the Warden or Golem.

 That was my first thought, then I realised you'd died enough.

This week.

I assume everybody is in range to be affected by the all ranged weapons jam effect.

Should I also assume that this includes any side arms that we may have on our person but are not in our hands?

How does this interact with the Reliable weapon trait?
