Unlike regular Command Squads, Castellans don’t go into battle accompanied by a retinue. They move among their troops, issuing orders and directing fire wherever it’s needed, all while extending re-rolls to every CORE unit in range.

Astra Militarum officers can all boost the effectiveness of their Guardsmen with orders, but the Castellan can issue two per turn.

What's that hiding in the background?

The castellan article mentions he can be used by Catachan and krieg.

teaser about multi-regiment kits coming soon?

as for the tank it looks like a baneblade to me.

Came to post the same, the tank is not something I have seen before and could therefore be a sneak peek at the new tank rumoured.

Sneaky gitz!!

The new tank (is that’s what this is) looks like it’s gonna be awesome!

From what I can make out the chassis looks more rounded than a Baneblade.

I’m hoping Inquisitor_Lensoven is right and it’s a duel kit! I suppose it wouldn’t be too difficult to include a rebreather head!

Things are getting exciting now!

Some exciting rules synergies are starting to pop up. Is it too much to hope that the Castellan will give a full to-hit re-roll, SM Captain style? If so, that’s a huge buff.

Personally I hope not. Too many damn rerolls in general.

I’d much prefer a straight stat buff of +1 to hit/wound

or +1 to random shot/damage weapons rather than constant rerolls

Might just be an aesthetic thing, but anyone notice the lens/optics on the FOBs? Maybe some sort of targeting/fire control device that will provide better BS than normal?

the thunderstrike would be an example of precedent

I totally feel that. I go back and forth between wanting balanced, streamlined rules for Guard, and wanting to absolutely power-creep-crush everybody, never mind the consequences.

I understand that as well considering how weak we’ve been and for how long.

Kasrkin sprues are up.

They look really good to me, loads of options and not much unnecessary junk. The models don't look to fixed in their poses either which some newer kits have been

It looks like the respirators are separate, counting numbers it looks like 12 respirators (so probably 2 hanging loose and 10 to fit on the helmets). Then enough helmets for 2 per body, so I assume that half have visors/goggles or whatever and the remainder are open faced.

Also looks like there are multiple options for the marksman and Comms specialist as well

Looking at the sprues, the karskins seem to have a part layout somewhat similar to things like the militarum tempestus kits, which is both a good and a bad thing, potentially meaning they would be similar enough to be mixed, but also meaning that lots of stuff has poses that are only meant to work in a particular way or with specific bodies/parts.

The tempestus have the option for beret or closed helmets for all soldiers, so my guess is that here we will have something similar but with open/closed helmets.

Some of the 3-part weapon arms (for dual hand weapons) seem to fit similarly to the tempestus, which was of the downsides of that kit in my opinion.

Lets see how these look when they are out in the wild and people start going crazy with them.

Kasarkin get an extra rule???

Yep

Assuming the army doctrine rumors are real, we get 2, and we have a reason to expect sentinels will get a pretty good buff since 2 of the rules specifically utilize them.

The more I look at these Kasrkin, the sexier they get. Will an all-Kasrkin force be a thing?

Have we seen specific rumors on these yet about what the rules will look like for Cadians/Kasrkin?
