Is Skarbrand even worth buying?

Hey guys. I cannot find any info on a Skarbrand led demon force with the new codex. Other than if he goes first in melee he kills his target... how are actual matches going right now? I just want to take as many Eldar skulls as possible.

It seems he is pretty popular. I have seen him in several tournament list which did good. So far I have not played with him so I can´t say from own experinces.

I have used him a couple of times, he can strike hard but his more limited movement and no fly hinderd him

Certainly against eldar ignoring invuln saves is pretty good. Harliquins and farseers weep.  Probably have to deepstrike him though.

I have him as I like the model and think its pretty cool.  I think you have to DS him to get real value out of him, otherwise he is slow and a big target.  I say that with limited experience playing, but I have watched a lot of batreps :-)

 

I want to buy a LOC next not because I will use the model (I have no horros, etc) but I think the model is cool and will be fun to paint.

 

That is usually how I approach my 40k ....fun and not really that competitively lol

That's exactly what I use to do. 

 

Therefore I'm going to get Skarbrand sooner than later. One of the best looking models out there. I even did a smaller Daemon Prince aka Skarbrands the Little kitbash. ;)
