What we need is for GW to go back to making squads in multiples of 5/10 etc.

I haaaate these 3 man squads they’ve been doing more and more of!

I’d also like to see more granular points and load outs like we used to have. No more ‘power levels’ where load outs didn’t affect cost etc.

I miss the 3rd-6th edition golden era haha.

I’ve not enjoyed 40K anywhere near as much since like 7th.

So we're looking at the following datasheets most likely:

Ahriman

Ahriman on Disc

Exalted Sorcerer

Exalted Sorcerer on Disc

Daemon Prince

Daemon Prince with Wings

Sorcerer in Terminator Armour

Infernal Master

Magnus the Red and his most impressive nipple horns

Rubric Marines

Scarab Occult Terminators

Tzaangors

Tzaangors on Discs

Flamers

Screamers

Pink Horrors

Blue Horrors

Lord of Change

Kairos Fateweaver

Chaos Rhino

Chaos Land Raider

Forgefiend or Maulerfiend

Heldrake

New Robots

No reason why TS (and DG/WE for that matter) won't get the EC treatment so I think it's safe to say the Helbrute, Defiler, Vindicator, Predator, Cultists and generic Sorcerer will be gone along with one of the fiends.  I wouldn't be surprised to see the fancier Tzaangors on foot go.

The Mutalith is an interesting one. It is an AoS model at the end of the day and there seems to be a clear internal clash going on whereby scumbag accountants or middle managers don't want models shared. So I could see this being pulled.

I don't see you losing cultists unless you gain a replacement unit with sticky objectives.  So, if TS lose cultists, I would expect them either to get a new unit with that rule, or have a datasheet change on an existing unit to give it to them.

Don't forget spawn.

I'm not even sure what to speculate on until GW drops the # of datasheets for the codex. I think they didn't mention a number yet. The part that bugs me a bit, as daemons are confirmed to be an index this edition, and their fate as an army being very shakey in the future......I do wonder why GW doesn't bother throwing the rest in? I.e. heralds, characters, chariots.

I wouldn't be surprised if long term GW want separate Daemon ranges for AoS and 40k. There is an incredibly idiotic and sociopathic obsession inside GW as regards shared units. We can see they are slowly but surely removing anything shared between systems and even between codexs (space marines aside).

However I think different Daemon ranges for 40k and AoS would actually be a good thing in theory. How Plaguebearers look in AoS could be very different to how they would look in 40k and it would open things up not only to unique aesthetics for each system but wargear and tactical roles.

Honestly I think all the Daemons that don't get into the codexs will go to Legends in 11th for 40k.

@Ahzek451 I'm always forgetting Spawn!

Good shout, they could get that role too.

Perhaps another reason could be that putting all the Daemon units makes things too difficult for the writers to balance things out, both internally and also externally as not all the Daemon ranges are equal in what's available.

Possibly as well they were worried that if TS and WE had more Daemon units than Legion units it would draw further criticisms over the lack of support for these factions.

Its funny you say that, I've always somewhat jokingly thought to myself that I wouldn't put it past GW to one day go the DOOM route and do cyberdaemon shenanigans. Something akin to soulgrinders as far as part machine/part daemon. But when it comes to that, your either a daemon contained in a mechanical shell (like maulerfiends/forgefiends/heldrakes/etc.) or your a daemon with cyber implants/add-ons. Obviously more the latter.
