Think I made some progress on magma blades, the cold part being more subtle. Happier with him anyway.

The stripe down the helmet is a great touch, makes him look more menacing!

It was quite difficult under the hood, but Exorcists are still a somewhat codex chapter, so a sergeant is a sergeant :)

I grabed an easy-to-build Dreadnought, and I must admit I like them a lot.

Brother-Veteran Orion, Redemptor Dreadnought of the Vth Company

In his lifetime, Orion climbed quickly the hierarchy of the chapter to become sergeant of the 10th squad of the Vth. He fought several decades as such, then was selected to join the 1st company when the Vth captain took over the 1st.

Deadly wounded during the planetary assault of  PSR1257 in the Helican sector, when the entire 1st company was sent to slow down a World Eater invasion.

I chose white pauldrons to indicate his 1st company attachment before being transfered in the Dreadnought.

Thank you mate !

I have finally finished my lieutenant.

Primaris Lieutenant Betelgus

I changed him a little bit since the kitbash, and I don't regret it. I managed to paint my best face ever, and I think the dynamism of throwing his damaged helmet is in line with the hand movement.

The original kitbash was :

I made a lot of progress in my painting with this mini ! The sword is much much better than the Bladguard ones.

That LT is simply amazing. Outstanding work all the way around! The face and the sword, as you noted, as especially well done. Inspirational work!

Whoa, fantastic work on these! Just the right blend of righteous and sinister! Really loving those cowled Bladeguard Marines, and the throwing helmet kitbash is just

Thank you all for your amazing comments !

I kept this time black pauldrons to represent a brother that spent all his "living" time in the Vth company (and not also in the 1st like the previous one).

The plasma was really a joy to paint, I used technics that you can really easily find online, just on a bigger scale than the usual pistols.

There's also a reference to Badab war Exorcists in the checker on the kneepad.

I also took a lot of pleasure of the Dread protecting a fellow tactical recharging his weapon, making it a storytelling scenette !

The only downside is the Dreadnought kit which I find is quite unpleasant to build, but still a beast of a mini.

Hope you like him !

Well that's just awesome, @One-eye

I do like the "stealth diorama" of the marine reloading in the lee of the dreadnought. The extremely subtle damage and scratches are superb, and the plasma glow is just excellent! (it really does looks very hot indeed...)

Thank you all guys, it really means a lot to me. I put a lot of efforts in this plasma, happy it turned out well.

And now for something completely different.

"Exorcists space marines have evidently a strong connection to the Warp. Being possessed by a Warp entity and unschackling free from it is no small feat. Though it does leave a permanent mark on their mind. Some of them will bear psychological, sometimes even physical, scars for the rest of their service.

Among those deliberately exposed to contact with the foul denizens of the Warp, the future Librarians of this unusual chapter are rarely spoken of. Some say they don't event exist.

The reality is a lot scarier.

The recruits of Exorcists exposed to both the possession and the training of a Librarian face a dramatic attrition, far worse than the already horrific attrition in the process of becoming an Exorcists battle brother. Far worse than anything in any other chapter... my researches on such secretive and protected matters allowed me to evaluate their number to a handful, and the ability of the chapter to train at best one Exorcists Librarian every century.

A space marine Librarian is already a battle-disciplined superhuman who has enhanced their already formidable combat prowess. Their connection to the warp allows them to use their psychic powers to throw powerful energy bolts, project force shields or increase their might to demigod-like proportions.

An Exorcists Librarian is something else. It does not use the Warp. It is one with the Warp. Their training in the use of the 666 verses of the Liber Exorcismus, their successful mental fight with a Warp entity give them exceptionnal psychic capabilities and senses. They are darkness, fire, and death, they pulp the flesh, snap the bones, destroy the body and soul of their foes.

It is no coincidence that the horned skull, the Exorcists chapter symbol, is also the universal symbol for the librarius in all space marines chapter."
