The rule states when you deploy if the unit has only models with this rule then you pick an opposing Legion. There begins a new sentence that explains that models with this rule get a bonus to hit against the selection Legion. 

 

My question is do Larnaean Terminators still get the bonus to hit if a character joins the unit after the game has begun. From my reading of the rule, the restriction applies only during deployment and when selecting the legion to get the bonus against.

Well. My initial thought was no, but upon re-reading it, you're right in that it says you check to see if the unit only comprises models with the rule at the start of the game when selecting the LA rule. During the game, it says that models with this rule get +1 to hit. 

 

Reading it again, I'd be inclined to say you get the +1 even if a character is attached, which makes sense.
