Terranic Greatsword and Cytheron Pattern Aegis on a single model, possible?

Hi,

 

As per the title, the aegis is modelled as a shield on the forgeworld models but I can’t find in the Liber Astartes that it actually is a shield rules wise and that you would be precluded from making melee attacks with two handed weapons should you be equipped with one (like combat and boarding shields do). 

 

Just an oversight by GW or do you think it’s fine to give a single model both items?

If the rule doesn't exist, then it doesn't exist! Greatsword and shield are fine, as far as I can see.

Personally I think it's an oversight, but given currently you absolutely can equip them that way as per Zenith's answer.

 

I mean you can also use Two Handed Weapons on a bike or use two CC weapons on a bike so it's all a bit silly really...
