Looking for a very obscure lore reference...

All I have to go off is a vague memory.

 

I think it's from an Imperial Armour book. I seem to remember a vehicle caption (or something else) where it says that the tank in question has some weird Vox anomalies or something which seem to hint it was at a much older conflict. Almost as if it was at the Battle of Tallarn or somewhere else.

 

I've looked in a few Imperial Armour books with no luck.

 

Does this ring any bells with anyone?

Could be from one of the older rulebooks. Sounds familiar, but also makes me remember much older references from the 3rd Edition era.

I think it’s from one of the forgeworld imperial armour books speaking about sicaran tanks.

Some of the Badab war Imperial Armour books are now on the Warhammer Vault, I can give that a quick look.

 

Edit: Nothing comes up in the two books I searched through.

That reminds me of one of the color plates for the Sicaran. I want to say it's mentioned in one of the HH Black Books? The impression I got from it was that it was indicative of how weird the Machine Spirits in those old machines could be. The only other mention that comes to mind is of an Iron Hands Contemptor that has a data listing in it's memory dating to Istvaan

I looked through imperial armour 1 & 2, 1st and 2nd editions last night (colour plates only) and nothing sprang out. 
 

I’ll keep digging.
