Highlighting the black for Ultramarines Vth.

OK on the 1st I start my Vth as some are aware.

 

But I was thinking about the actual black.

 

My guns are Abaddon Black >>> Eshin Grey >>> Dawnstone

 

So I have thinking about the trim and in the future cloth, part of me thinks using the same colours will clash more.

 

So do I go for a warm or cool tone to the Vth's black

 

So its a pick of...

 

Abaddon Black >>> Mechanicus Standard Grey >>> Dawnstone 

or

Abaddon Black >>> Dark Reaper >>> Thunderhawk Blue.

I usually go with the light grey method as it provides a lovely contrast to the darkness of black.

Back when I thought I was doing 5th company this is how I did my edge highlighting, It was MSG and then dawnstone:

the black on these was done using Abaddon Black - Dark Reaper - Dark Reaper + Ushabti Bone. It gives and effect which is quite different to black highlighted with grey.

I think I will go with Mech Grey and Dawnstone.
