Slave to Darkness
Apart from the flesh being a bit darker this is the scheme I used back in 2nd ed... Love it!! Reskin
Yeah I want to go for jungle chameleons type stalkers. Gonna base them in a lot of foliage, leaves and vines so their skin represents bark Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/377259-starting-a-nids-army-here%E2%80%99s-my-colour-scheme/#findComment-5902033 Share on other sites
Xenith
Like it - I also went with a black/grey skin and scorpion green scheme for my first nid army, it looks great! What are you doing for the bases? Reskin
I was doing a test with the brood lord, muddy ground with lots of green grass tufts and some lichen as well I picked up from a hobby store. was also thinking of perhaps lichen stuck to their shells somewhat? Not sure that would look all that decent. also thought perhaps some flowers, kind of brightens up the model, makes it more a comical look for such a viscous creature. I want them to blend in almost. if you can see, I dry brushed some light green onto their brown skin(bark) to kind of resemble moss Edited January 24, 2023 by Reskin Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/377259-starting-a-nids-army-here%E2%80%99s-my-colour-scheme/#findComment-5902998 Share on other sites
