I wanted to switch-up from painting my Word Bearers (lots of trying to correct all their jagged details and trim made me want to find a fresh distraction) so I decided to get a Primaris Lieutenant and paint him up in the livery of the Fire Hawks chapter from the Badab Wars. I loved their punchy orange and yellow scheme, and since I've finished the look of his orange armour I've decided to see how others find it. I used an undercoat of White Scar with a base of Mephiston Red and then tried to stipple on a layer of Wild Rider Red to try and give the more burnt orange found in their artwork. How do you think it looks? For the rest of the scheme I'm planning to paint the pauldrons with an Averland Sunset, with a trim of Liberator Gold.
