I kept all the UM specialists to small units since they can be a topic of concern for some. Most units have transports because I have a LOT of rhinos and like seeing them on the tables. Could you use the points to have a 10-man Locutarus instead? Overall I like it. Excited to hear how this does as I'm also lookng at building a Logos list w/o Bobert in it. dickyelsdon Posted February 6, 2023 Share Posted February 6, 2023 Love the commitment to including a bit of everything, it will certainly make a thematic looking force (and ive seen pics of your stuff so it WILL look amazing). I struggle with Ultras to see where their punch comes from. Looks like you got Suzerain and Locutarus as a hammer, Flumentaris and Missiles as an anvil, and the rest kind of middle ground trying to be shooty and also punchy. I wonder if it might be better to lean a bit more one way or the other with the other units? maybe pull some equipment off units to get points to bulk up the assault or tactical squads? Make the Suzrerain a retinue and split the contemptor into separate units with a more focussed loadout each? All of this is probably true, but in the past when I have posted Ultramarines lists that are more efficiently designed i've been flamed out of existence for daring to bring an even semi decent army list (Reddit lol)! I found a new group/store near where I live that actually seems to play Heresy regularly, and I wanted something that wouldn't raise too many eyebrows for my initial foray into the group.
