In the other hand, you think 3 Troops is enough for a 3000 points army? I think is too few. I'm going to read more about Ultras in Heresy, and comment more and more properly. But looks good to me. But that's a personal taste of mine... And the idea of combi-bolters with grenade launchers is very interesting. I need to try that. I need to try that. Predator sponsons are purely a thematic choice. Lascannons would 100% be better, but I’ve got theme and minor rules shenanigans to use with the Volkites. Positioning the Predators in such a way as to prevent the sponsons from seeing the primary target let’s you target a separate unit with the sponson. Originally I’d wanted to run a Praetor with the Mantle of Ultramar to tank for the terminators, but now I’m not so sure. yes, a large amount of points are tied up in elites, but those points are all spent on Contemptors, Suzerians, and Fulmentarius. Three of the MOST efficient units in the game! realistically I don’t see the Nemesis Destroyers staying in the list long term, but what they get replaced with is largely going to be determined by how hard the local Heresy community is going. dickyelsdon Posted March 14, 2023 Share Posted March 14, 2023 (edited) Nemesis destroyers are a bit odd for me. 165pts base for a slightly different/better assault squad, and you always end up spending on extras as rad missile AP3 is where they seem to do a lot of damage. Im thinking of trying them bare bones and just throwing them forward in a rhino, 200ish rather than 270. 70pts is not a small amount. Great models to convert up and paint tho!
