Greetings all!

I finally got around to sign up. I've been in the hobby for some 40 years now without any noticable progress but it's the fun that counts.
I have been lurking for a while, checking out the amazing work on display here and hope to post some of my own wips and finished projects soon.

Space Wolves were the thing that inspired me since 2nd edition (never played, had to paint) and getting my first model, the metal Leman Russ. Sadly his wolves got lost over time...
Here is my poor man's Ragnar from some years ago and my almost ready Ragnar from this year.

I hope to be around for a good bit!

I got some more pics of my latest creations, the Scions of Midgardia. A thing to get away from the old blue/grey but still 'wolfy'.
Oh and the finished new Ragnar. I should have some wolf lord in power armour conversions from some years ago too, somewhere...
I really should get bases done but it's hard. Often, when I've finished a part of the model I'm happy with, I just stop and move on to the next. Particularly with faces so I try to save them untill last. Do you guys have such problems? :)
Don't get misled by the pictures, they look worse in r/l lol

So I found some nostalgic old stuff, paired with some not so old. Somehow afraid to revisit the old paintjobs, maybe I should leave them as is. Latest Ulrik is still headless, I must finish the rest of him first. Red capes are hard! This may take some time...

Besides big armored marines I also grew fond of IG (or Astra Militarum nowadays?) to paint something else. Anyways, here are some examples of my Wolf sworn guardsmen from the remnants of the Cadian 28th. Background flavor is from one of the Ragnar novels where he runs in to them on Cadia. Again, need to finish bases. The picture of the single one is a kaerl placed as sergeant to better instill the ways of Fenris into the troops. He has a small powerpack to run his arms, flexible cabling running to it. The crouching guy is a veteran with the grenade arm chopped up and added a SM scouts knife for quick badass effect. Most of my conversions are quick :D

Got my free model back from my local GW store, a new militarum I put 'old' command squad arms on and they work great! Of course a Cadian 28th...
I got some spare shields and slapped them on my assault marines.
Also some old pics from when I tried to make Wolf Lords in power armor. I should re do the photo's at some point. I almost made all twelve except for Logan and Egil Ironwolf . For now how I imagined Egnir Krakendoom, Gunnar Redmoon, Bran Redmaw, Bjorn StormwolfIMG_20230326_162208.jpg.f2bf505c009bac3f1127bb8902cd18c0.jpg

Very good looking conversions and painting! What did you use to make the spear?

Thanks Dees! The spear was leftover power axe handles, some rod and an old skaven blade from when GW made white plastic for a while. The cloak came from a dark elf corsair I think (the ingredients are in the top photo). I also found Gunnar in pieces

So I finaly finished my Ulrik (or as far as my impatience lets me). Tried to keep it close to the box art for colours, not quality :P .I made his head look with the flow of his cape even if it obscures the eye patch a bit. Seemed dumb to let him stare into a hale with his one good eye... Phone pics don't do justice, sadly, but all I get.
