Sooo... I fell into the trap of going through the new box like a magpie. There's a Wolf Priest sprawling around half finished and halfpainted (more on that later) and then I remembered my old metal Lukas the Trickster model. Decided to make a Primaris version like I did Krom. Before it vanishes in grey background mass, some pictures of wip. Still looking for extra trinkets, or maybe I'll leave them out, don't want to make it too busy. I did find a way to add the most striking details, wolf skull belt, powerfist (with one more time movement lol), xenos bit on the plasma and bit of hair.

Is the result Lukas-y enough you think?

WIP while I'm still invested and my fingers still work. I went so fast I totally forgot about his cloak. In hindsight I also had a perfect Drukhari long braid to use. Oh well. Afraid to do an after-fit. Then again, my original also still lacks the Doppegangrel cloak... Tips, advice cloakwise?

Small update on picking through the Bloodclaw sprues:
Really wanted to give the leader another stance and remembered lefthanded shooting from the old boxes. The first-born hand doesn't even look out of place on the Primaris. Cutting it off, then swapping bolt pistols ( the original just a tiny bit too flimsy) and sticking it to an outstretched left arm. Also had to find a leftside holster, set of Mk. III marines came to the rescue. Big change, minimal effort? One down, set aside for painting.

Brother Harnil, great work on the Primaris Lukas! Not sure on the Doppelgangrel hide - is there a way to carve it off an old version? Otherwise, you might have to bits and sculpt that together.

 

The Blood Claw is looking very nice, good work on the kit-bashing!

I still have the original pelt in metal. Maybe a reverse mold could work. (if I ever get round to it) On the other hand, maybe the pelt got lost while crossing the Rubicon :D

So I couldn't stop myself and built the whole sprue. This will be hell to paint... Some 'before' pictures. I tried to make each set of similar bodies as different as I could with (of cpurse) minimal effort. Some subtle arm and hand pose changes, a knife switch to the left and an assault marine chainsword on the back. Oh and I included tassles as a throwback to 2nd edition. Hope you can see them. Guess from wich set they came? Once painted they will be red, so hard to miss. 

 

* sorry I just notice only one tassle shows (a bit) from a pauldron. There are more, trust me ;)

Couldn't leave the sprues alone and started on Grey Hunters. Another lefty. At quick glance the bolter looks just about the right size despite it being a firstborn issue. Bluetacked for now because the paintjob deserves more love.
