The 3 or 5 question is interesting.

I reckon GW would LOVE to reduce them to 3 man squads like every other elite/specialist Primaris unit.

However, i think they may still be 5 minimum due to the old squads always being 5. If they change it, they either have to have two datasheets or upset a lot of players that already have loads of 5 or 10 man squads of the old models.

I think Custodians will be fine standing next to these. The plastic kit will look lean in compared to the chonk, but with the giant axes and a bit of excuse from their spread-legged stance it shouldn't be too goofy. It is sort of a shame the Custodes got released before Primaris was in full swing though, as they could have done with a little bit of scaling or posture changes to loom. Still, the models are so damn good. Guardian spears are probably my favorite looking weapon in all of 40K.

3-10 year wait on those I'd say.

Bet you there are 3D printed addon parts to make the chapter variants before the kit is even available outside of the big box. Not from GW obviously, but there's no need to wait for that kind of thing these days.

As for the Custodes, eh, use the good Custodes terminators from FW and they'll look fine.

I do wonder if the box set will be 3 models and the datasheet is for a Terminator Command Squad, size 3+ but we will still have 5-10 strong Terminator units (in 5 man boxes down the line). They do teleport in with the Captain and Librarian after all, and a way of fitting a Character and Bodyguard into a 10-capacity transport would be handy. Not sure I am even convincing myself as there is nothing to set them apart as a Command Squad but given stuff like Standard Bearers and Apothecaries have been stand-alone it could work (although were did that banner the flamer-marine lofts in the final stand of the cinematic trailer come from? I didn't notice anyone carrying it before then).

Otherwise the rescaling and additional detail is absolutely perfect and I cannot wait for the full multi-part kits (given how much better the multipart everything has been compared to the Dark Imperium/Indomitus) monopose/push-fits).

Tangentially relevant; Lysander vanished from the store. Perhaps keep an eye on other terminator characters since we could infer future releases.

Dante (duh) and Sicarius are gone too.

Removed from the store out right, skipping "no longer available" phase.

They look like they're roughly the same proportions as one of my favorite Terminator illustrations:

I tried replicating this model, and I really hope that GW makes several terminator kits to have something like that!

How OP do you think termies will be to help spur sales of the new kits?

They seem to really miss the mark on nearly every Primaris release as they usually end up pretty weak out of the gate. They've been far more likely to be paperweights competitively than meta menaces, so I'm going to assume they'll just be solid this time. Good enough to build a force around, but not the only way to play.

Dante allegedly comes with AoO5, while Sicarius was rumoured to be relevant in 10th.

Guess it's time for another wave of Supplements with a character each, and I would not be surprised if Victrix Captain Sicarius and 1st Captain Lydander are amongst them.

For Space Wolves, I could see Arjac Rockfist, or Niall Stormcaller. Salamanders could see Vulcan H'estan. Dark Angels have myriad of characters in Asmodai, Belial, Ezekiel, and Samnael. Blood Angels probably would have Astaroth for such release. What would be the characters for Raven Guard, White Scars, and Iron Hands? I guess Kardan Stronos and Jubal Khan could be the characters as they're the chapter master, but I don't have anything in mind for Raven Guards.

Maybe Korvydae, if still alive. Tbf RG are rarely enough in the limelight that any character would probably be welcomed with open arms.

They could feasibly even go successors with Lias Issodon.

Let's not forget that there's the possibility of army rules shaped around the company structure.

I could imagine there being an option to run a generic veteran company force that could have terminators as battleline or gove them some other benefit.

Also there was the rumour that they'll have toughness 5 and 4 wounds, which is believable if only for the fact that it would drive chaos players up the wall if theirs didn't get the same.

Suppressors, Gladiators, Reivers, Repulsor Executioners, Hammerfall Bunkers (and others I probably forgot about) would like to remind you that not every new kit comes out with completely broken rules and in fact they're just as likely to be total duds as the are to be Eradicator-strong
