New Terminators and Weapons from the older kits?

I haven't built any Deathwing units before, so when I heard the rumors about possible new terminators, I thought that would be a good time to expand my DW collection.

I picked up 2 boxes of Deathwing terminators with the intention of using the extra weapons from the kit with the new terminators when they are released.

 

Now that we have seen the scale difference, do you think that kitbash is going to work out well?

I think you should be OK, although how easy it will be depends somewhat on whether the new Termis are monopose and what bits they break them up into on their sprues.

 

Once a multipart kit comes out, I'd hope it would be very easy. The fancy DA arms and heads should be a straight swap and look fine scale-wise? It might be quite a bit more work, but I reckon you could also shave a new torso down and fix the tabard bits on the front?

Deathwing actually had pretty fat arms compared to other terminator kits so I'm sure it'll work out just fine.
