I hope not, hoping for some flexibility on the prayer front, but i foresee that perhaps you will be correct, but GW seem to have completely avoided previewing any models that would normally cast prayers. hopefully they don't get the Psychic treatment *crosses fingers*

That's a good point. Honestly I just assumed it would have the same mechanism as a character. You join a squad and "X" buff happens to them. No more time spent on choices, or rolling it out. I could be 100% wrong as I'm just making the assumption from other stuff we've seen.

 

 

Dark Apostle already has lackeys. Have we seen similar characters (with their own retinue) that can join another unit?

Guard Command Squads can join a unit, that's as close an example as I've seen.
