Karhedron
The Repulsor looks like a Grav Raider (even though it functions differently on the tabletop. Then there is the standard 40K version (which I still like although it is showing its age). There is also the 30K version if players prefer. Orange Knight
I just want them to make it exciting and interesting. We all love how the new Terminators look, but their wargear and rules less so. Imo the plastic Spartan is the best looking and most fun vehicle that shares the Landraider DNA. It's a shame that it's a Legends unit, because it rocks. Impressive firepower, massive transport capacity, assault ramp, the works. I've used it in friendly games and I love it, I just hope the new Landraider can match it. Dream to build and can be assembled to work as a 40K era Land Raider replacement if you go with the heavy bolter turret and assault ramp. As mentioned in the original post I think we're long overdue a new Land Raider, but I hope it's in line with the new Terminators and doesn't go hog wild with reinventing it whole cloth. It also really doesn't need to get any bigger as it's already huge! Zoatibix
Starting with things i want for myself because i play Drukhari and would happily buy official versions even though I have converted my own. Court of the Archon Beast Pack and Beast Mistress Grotesques Urien Next is Catachan because of my fantasy project of GSC brood brothers force. I really like their look. Custodes upscale following cues from AoS and SCE. The latter saw an amazing improvement over a relatively short period of time. Get Plastic Talons vehicles, too. (If usable in both HH and 40K I would start an army of these.) Ork MANs need redoing. They were always too small and they don’t look good. As a fan of Brian Nelson…all the weird Ork faces I don’t like. Lastly, despite it paining me greatly to say anything positive about Space Marines: Grey Knights. Get them into ‘Primaris scale’ without homogenising their armour. Dump the baby carrier in place of a cool, chunky dreadnought. Evil Eye
Realistically the only things I'd want changed on the base design of the Land Raider for a new kit would be Mk.IIB style sponsons (ala the now-OOP Forge World kit, itself based on the Epic minis) and MAYBE putting the heavy bolters into a slightly raised turret to clear more head-room for the assault ramp Bonus points if it's a Malcador style limited-traverse turret built into the superstructure, as A: that'd look cool and B: it'd keep the firing arc basically the same, which whilst not a rules concern anymore (much to my chagrin) would still keep some of that landship flavour/1920s design philosophy it has going on. One could even justify it that it's done that way to maximize internal space. That aside, some more weapon options (Prometheus anyone?) would be golden. Court of the Archon I have a small DE force, including the original Court of the Archon in finescale. They're great models, but, as we all know, finescale is such a pain to work with. If they were redone in plastic, we'd see them a lot more. I do like the concept of the Court. I don't think there's anything else like it in 40K and that unique nature made it most appealing. Plastic Mordians would be great. And as IIRC the Praetorian Guard were just headswapped Mordians anyway it'd be super easy to convert even if we never got "official" ones (though a new Battle at Ork's Drift would be amazing). Ayatollah_of_Rock_n_Rolla
The new Land Raider could be Mk.II with a sponson sprue compatible with LR Proteus to make Armoured Proteus. ThaneOfTas
I wouldn't mind seeing the land raider be slightly larger, and having a MkIIb style sponson could be cool, could go either way on having the tracks fully wrap around or have the tops covered, some additional weapon options would be fun but so long as we don't lose any options I don't mind. Making it a grav vehicle though would be appalling though. Would instantly kill the model for me, and at that point I would have to hope that its size and loadout was close enough that using either a Spartan or Phobos land raider would be a reasonable proxy. ThePenitentOne Posted yesterday at 01:48 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:48 AM If the Land Raider ever does become Grav only, even though I don't really do Space Marines (aside from Deathwatch and Grey Knights), it would send me into an apoplectic rage so profound I would likely quit the game forever and may even film a youtube video of me burning every GW product I've ever purchased as I scream obscenities into the audio to express my displeasure and contempt. I cannot overstate how much I HATE Space Marine grav tanks. The only models that I think are as bad are Desolators and Suppressors. Fortunately, the Space Marine range is so massive that several better looking viable alternatives exist, so the rage has not overcome me yet, and I am content to let those who DO like them continue to enjoy them... But personally, I'd rather play an entire army of Centurions and Nemesis Dreadknights. I wouldn't accept any of those kits even if you offered them to me for free.
