10th edition has hit. Many new budding tyranid armys are sprouting from their spore sacks. They need colour and nids are less defined by such than probably any other army so share your schemes!  lets get the inspiration going!!!

Brilliant idea for a topic!

I may only have one nid painted up, but here he is!

Hive Fleet Boreidas at your service. The colour scheme was one I chose all the way back in 2001.

Loosely based off the 3rd edition Tyranid codex cover artwork by Adrian Smith, I view this as a splinter of hive fleet Behemoth. I've seen plenty of takes on this scheme elsewhere, I tend to push the blue a bit more than most for the Behemoth tie in.

Awesome work @Arson Fire, I do think that nids are one of the best looking armies on display. Great start @xxxjtmxxx the pink and black work well and the yellow is a nice spot colour!

This is one of the great things about nids. You take a limited pqlette and apply it to every model twisting it around for scale. Sure more detail the bigger it is. Where as other armys mark out different sections with helmet colours and direvt markings and such needing far more colours which near gets lost on a full looking force...
