Of course with 3D print you can do everything (especially when all STLs are available for ages due to Epic...and for other 40K armies too at this Epic scale lol), and super cheap because with 1 liter of resin, you print gazzillons of tanks bikes and infantry hahahah But it is not a 3Dprint topic. So, lets forget it (or not).

Side note: with the 28µm (or even 19/22µm) printers, it is even more difficult to differentiate a 3D printed tank or bike or infantry than at the usual 28/32mm scale.

I mean, in this case its not that the prints are cheaper exactly, its the flexibility that these kits seem set to lack, like @Interrogator Stobz says, if you want to build some formations from GW you have to buy droves of probably unwanted models, and its not like a Terminator company is even a particularly exotic want.

That and armour mk's, like, i doubt we will see much variation from GW for a while, they have a whole range to fill out after all but you can always print or buy a swathe of mk3 or whatever if you want, the option is there and relevant to the discussion at hand.

And not just print either, if they dont get mech out soon enough ill be buying a load of the Vanguard minis cybershadows and houseruling or using SA rules for them.

No information on today's previews? Seems like the game has been almost forgotten? What's going on here?

They already showed what would be getting previews last week.

It's obviously not forgotten, we're just waiting on pre-orders for the core set. They've already shown off plenty of post-launch boxes.

Not really promoting the game or tying it into momentum, with silence too regarding the release date or what is even happening... seems like the game has been sidelined.

Shame. The game had such potential. I hope players don't lose interest as I want this to be "the next big thing."

Just to confirm, you both want this game to be the next big thing. But also won't spend any money on it and will 3D print everything you use for it?

I think this is honestly the most previewed gamerange we've gotten so far. We're up like 20-30 kits before the intial launch set?

If the Old World is January Id be hopeful this is November

Yep. I'm not investing in a company that doesn't support my needs.

I'll leave that for those who will.

I picked up the WD with the LI battle report and read it. It was a much closer affair than I expected as the BA army was more squishier than the opposition. The battle maps with all the little icons were pretty neat especially the background of the battlefield which looks like a pic from a holo-display.  In addition units died in droves. It was a suitable epic battle.

And of course they couldn´t stop themselves and had to flanderize the BA in the fluff box which corresponded each turn. The passwords for the access codes to inspect the battle report data were:

- Scarlet

- Cherry Red

- Carmine

- Wine Red

- Vermillion

:)

Looking forward to UM battle reports in the future and the following passwords:

- Papa Smurf

- Baby Blue

- Lapis Lazuli

- Ultramarine

:)

Unfortunately, it's entirely relevant even if unsavory.

I truly wish it wasn't as I'd be more than happy to spend monies on a couple of boxes to get something fairly reasonable for Epic like a plastic TDA company.

But having to buy 10 boxes is entirely unreasonable and a poor consequence of GWs strategy of mixing the unit/detachment types on sprues.

They have done so very well with AT sprues and are totally boning this.

I would say 'hardcore' players (which I will label anyone who cares enough about the hobby to post on a forum) are probably just a few % of the overall sales. Those will have a negligible impact on the total sales numbers. So I'm not gonna feel guilty for having an existing collection and not needing to buy more marines. :) (and I am still going to get the rulebook, and probably SA as I like the look of the infantry)

Someone estimated totals for the cost of the armies in the battle reports at £400-£600, which is insane if it is true - that will do a hell of a lot more to kill this game than a few people printing their own land Raiders.

As said before you probably dont need an Army as big as the Battle Report ones to play the games and everything you See in that battle report wont be available at day one.

So you cant spend that much Money on a LI Army like that at once anyways.

So who spend that much Money on an Army for any of the GWs other games in one go? Probably the minority of players as most build their Army over some time

Another Sunday preview and still no preorder announcement - sad trombone… This definitely doesn’t count as ‘sooner than you think’ GW!

At least we seem to be back to 1 week preorder windows?

If we are back to 1 week then it could still release on the 11th like I expected originally . So next week I expect AoS Cities with LI after that

I would also dearly love many epic terminators. One possible solution would be a forgworld kit of (say) Tartaros terminators - giving me (say) 40 in a pack wouldn’t be so different from a 10 shoulder pad upgrade set at 28mm. I so rarely buy Forgeworld I’m not sure if price could be attractive though? But Forgeworld briefly did Epic I believe - like was it Tau - so I guess it can be done in resin.

There is a great pre-Heresy terminator proxy by Vanguard, which is possibly even slightly smaller scale than LI will be. They are in metal, and what can be cast in metal may mostly be cast in resin, so I think if there is a will there will be a way!

Is it wrong that I want a tiny very angry Sigismund? :D

I'm pretty sure you could sculpt one in like 30 mins from some milliput and a magnifying glass  sure it'll look like Gumby but it will be angry

Not sure if it was mentioned but a rumor has the release in November, this was in relation to old world getting kicked to Feb so I won’t post it here since it isn’t board appropriate.

It must surely be fairly soon, or they wouldn't have published the battle report in this month's WD
