Agreed - no way thats real.

Besides, I'm thinking next Sunday it will be on the article, with Pre-order on Sat 11th

To be fair, that'd be this Sunday, the 5th November. Next Sunday is the 12th November.

God bless you English.

Wow, putting the Christmas boxes out before LI will surely dampen the initial succes/momentum of the game. Lots of people are going to have to choose to wait on unknown priced LI or jump on the (pretty good) Xmas boxes.

We really need a 'sad reacts'.

What a fantastic job they have done hamstringing this game line.

I do despair also. Whilst the hard core fans always exist, is there enough to maintain the game?

I worry it'll see a splash release and not have sufficient momentum or sales to keep going.

Fingers crossed eh. Something I'd like to be wrong about.

Buy the game, Chain people to the table and force them to play and see the light.

Honestly i fear more the upcoming release of ToW as people save their money for that if it isnt push d back a few weeks.

Two different customer groups. And I don’t think even GW have large hopes for ToW.

I'm fancying playing both :facepalm::laugh:

Yeah I'll push the game best as I can. Best chances of my area of course. Plus micromachines are amazing.

Just won't stop the whole game dropping is my worry. We played 8th edition fantasy as a group yet the wider sales didn't matter, apparently.

Yeah marketing has been sabotaging old world waaay harder, but then I have multiple huge Warhammer armies that'll work so don't need to buy anything to play it, most of my epic scale stuff is 40k or titans.

ToW is aimed at people with armies. GW has said so themselves. So it will be a super small game for them.

I am concerned that IA will take a big hit though. People don’t tend to save hobby money for very long. And unless they plan to stagger the releases after the launch box, a LOT of stuff will be released in a very small timeframe. And with money being tight for many people, initial sales will look worse than they probably are

This exactly.. I have had to choose between the Angron box or wait for LI...

I went with what was known and knew I could afford and get for Christmas... Khorne is pleased with my choice

I'd love to get LI but with the release muck ups and delays a choice was needed...

I hope it's not a splash release as I would like to eventually get LI .

Battleforces are announced for next week which is unusual as they normally are up at the end of November so this rumour seems pretty much confirmed:

Uhhh, I guess I'll have to skip LI because I want to get 2 battleforces + I do collect and play both necrons and admech

At times it feels like someone senior in GW didn't want LI to happen so is trying to kill it before it starts.

I still don't understand the logic of delaying the release by months, they would have had to store all the physical kits they presumably surged production on for release, plus lost all the hype and momentum they will building for a late summer release.  Now they are going to be fighting their own holiday sales.  They should have just pushed it out with digital rules and said "The binding on the books was :cuss: physical books to follow before year end."  It would have saved their release schedule, saved all the warehousing costs and not messed up multiple release slots through the fall.
