For a scenario entitled "Spiders of the Sump", there is a disappointing lack of eight-legged beasties. Glad they've done rules for boats though. It puts me one step closer to tormenting my players with my ever expanding collection of rodents arachnids of unusual size.

Isn't the sump a literal sea of toxic waste, and home to some seriously nasty wildlife?* I can't imagine going for a swim in it is compatible with a long and healthy life.

You are absolutely right, I just meant that the rules are a bit harsh for my planned use (on Venice inspired boards with lots of water / canals), where I anticipate a lot of falling into the ooze.

Ah, I misunderstood - fair enough!  It would appear to be an ideal opportunity for house rules (make it so they fail to move if they fail their strength test, and only take damage if the fail the test with a critical failure?)? It sounds like your gaming group are up for some fun games
