Not got much done recently, but did manage a thing or two

Here's the Halftrack Chimeara, got bases & decals on weathering to do ...

Also as a last model of 2024 I kitbashed a new Son of Sek sniper on new years eve. I had a BSF dude without a front torso so ala Bonehead out came the clippers, on with a Cadian torso & blooded sniper bits left me with this:-

Im really pleased with this & I like this pose much better than the stock one, feels more dynamic ....

Here's a comparison:-

Thanks for looking!

Nice work. You're bang on there, dynamic is exactly the word I would have picked. He looks like he's just going for a risky shot out of a window. And the paint is up to your usual high standard. Love the chimera too, are those transfers a standard GW set? They really add a lot to it. And they'll look cool with some grime and maybe a touch of rust too.

Yeah, that's really nice!

One thought for a future model, for the decals that are pieces of text, painting the square they are going to go on white (or similar) to make them look like posters glued to the tank rather than painted on it.  So, instead of fighting to hide the edges of the decals, using that edge to your advantage.

Good idea, the more I think about it the more  I like it!  I would probably go down the road of custom made decals printed on white transfer paper though.

As always, photos show niggles that you dont see i.e. I could have positioned the decals on the model better, they are not quite straight. I didn't go big on chaosification (is that a word?) because lore wise the Sons of Sek were trained by ex IG generals, therefore I assume that the kit will be as functional / clean as can be, barring a little graffitti.
