So been a while as haven't had much time for wargaming and the like but after managing to get bits needed got a conversion for Epidemius all done using that blood bowl rotspawn, some blightkimg bits, a old metal chaos chariot and a heap of nurglings 

Needs a bit of tidying up and filling in with green stuff and the like but like how it looks though may squeeze in another icon of Nurgle or 2

So I had a narrative 1000pts doubles event this weekend playing with a chaos knights player that was quite fun 

Not really good writing out large battle reports but here’s my results

I ran 

rotigus 

poxbringer with squad of plaguebearer 

2 units of 3 nurglings 

3 drones 

2 single units of beasts 

Nurgle soul grinder 

 

knight player was 3x brigands, 2 karnivores, stalker and the changing ( balance update changes were not used since everyone already submitted army lists for event few days before the balance update to keep it fair since a lot of stuff went up and down)

 

 

game 1 vs necrons and orks 25 - 75

lowt badly as necrons ran 2 ctan plus doomsday arks but just couldn’t kill them, orks weren’t bad to deal with just couldn’t kill any necron especially with voidragon just mulching through my ally’s knights 

 

 

game 2 vs Necrons and Mechanicus 30- 65

This time necrons had 3 ctan and just lost everything we threw at them. The mechanicus breachers were painful but rotigus beast and nurglings helped get through most of them until 3 ctan just mostly killed everything

game 3 vs imperial knights and Tyranids 75 -65

far better being most fun game extremely close with some crazy stuff like rotigus killing exorcine which caused it to explode killing the other one which was on its last wound to then explode. Last turn same thing happened again this time to rotigus who exploded killing the swarm lord who then exploded himself 

Last game game was against imperial Guard + Marines running vanguard 65 -30

Managed to do very well dividing their firepower so daemons and knights survived rather unscathed got stuck in from multiple angles so took out most of their units one by one. Rotigus did well thanks to stratagem to deep strike within 3 and shrugged off so much firepower getting luck with inv saves and just took out most units by himself including a primaries captain who he melted with his vomit attack. Overall was an extremely fun weekend though now I think I need to get some brigands of my own as having such decent antitank weapons that daemons just don’t have helped so much in some of the games playing alongside chaos knights

Great report. All those C´tan sounds awful to meet. Not fun. But other games sounds like it where much more fun to play.

I haven't had time to paint mainly with getting hold of paint I need since have to order it all online since no where here where I live sells it 

I have however been able to get  some more stuff assembled for my army with a Great Unclean one as well as a converted Wardog Stalker I magnetised so can run as the other variants. Know obviously not daemons but am planning on talking 2 Wardog stalkers for my Nurgle Daemons to give some much needed ranged antitank as they just struggle

Your wardog is awesome and a perfect fit as an ally to your demons.  Good idea to magnetize it - that's what I did with my own (unmutated) knights.  Good use of forge/mauler field bits, but where is its lower half/legs from?

Thanks it uses the AOS Maggoth Lord kit which I had to cut up a bit and use green stuff to make the knight arms and fiend carapace fit

Got the Wardog and Epidemius all painted adding some nurglings to the Wardog 

Just need to finish off the Great Unclean on I started but ran out of the blue I use for the skin tone having to wait for more to be delivered as no shop here where I live that sells paint. Will convert another wardog in same fashion as this one so I can run 2

So I got the Great Unclean one all painted, so am once again close to having a 2k force all painted just need to get another Wardog all converted

Whether or not it's any good I guess I'll find out, wanted something that has lots of Nurgle units with some knights for some sort of firepower that's lacking normally with daemons especially nurgle.

Also played another small 1k game against blood angels winning quite well with a GUO with the enhancement managing to tank so many wounds that rest of my Daemons were easily able to claim objectives and secondaries quite well

A really cool Daemon army. The War Dogs have been beautifully (or should that be disgustingly) converted. Nice to see a different colour scheme for Nurgle too.

So I took my daemons with wardog allies to a 2K tournament and had a great time

Only won 2 out ofthe 5 games placing 28th ou of 40 but apart from one game all were pretty close and fun being quite close in points

what I took

First Army was against Blood angels ( though they were purple as soul drinkers) still using index as only way to get codex is with that stupidly expensive box set that is even more expensive being in NZ

I managed to win 76 - 64 very close but The GUO just managed to tank so much of the blood angels

 

 

 

2nd game was against Dark angels which was pretty close but thanks to bad secondaries and hellblasters with Azrael wiping out epidemies  and his squad on objective lost 65 - 75 GUO and Rotigus did manage to survive everything in centre wiping all his terminator squads out which was cool 

 

 

 

3rd Game  against Knights was absolutely terrible getting deolished 22 - 100

Caenis plus other kights just removed everything so easily, culdnt pass a single inv save on most units and even with feel no pain GUO just got removed in one turn of shooting

4th game against Votann went better for winning 65-55

Managed to get right up in their face in first few turns bogging their army down so couldn't move up much, Roti unfortunately died but Guo managed to stop any attempts at getting into centre and held more objectives and scoring more secondaries

 

 

 

Last Game  was against Blood angels with Caenis Rex which was purge so unfortunately they were able to wipe my more smaller squads quite easily whilst I couldnt 

after Cenis took out both my wardogs I did managed to finally drag him down with 2 plague bearers and roti though lost roti when he interrupted after roti dealt 16 wounds to him ( lot of lucky lethal hits)  final score was 55 - 85. Epideimus and his squad did extremely well wiping 2 Devastator squads that popped out of the drop pod and death company dread by themselves. GUO once finally managed to get into centre just tanked everything and wouldn't die soending up being my MVP all games.

Overall playing Mono nurgle was quite fun just wish there was some more ways to ensure survivability on more units, ony having NV save with no other form of feel no pain (unless a 6 within 6 of GUO) maybe I need to look at taking couple of Daemon Princes for stealth aura

I'm still working that out but maybe take a daemon prince instead of a  grinder for  stealth aura or even another wardog 

The bigger base does make it harder to move and guns are unfortunately a bit lack lustre as nurgle 

Just wish certain guns it had  weren't locked to only one god as the warp gaze would be some decent long range anti tank for the army 

Maybe if I just take it as tzeentch instead

Thanks for the battle reports - those were great to read, and its awesome to see your army on the table.  Your greater uncleaned ones (both named and unnamed) seem to be the real champions for you.

 

Your force kind of reminds me of @Tallarn Commander's Night Lords - fun, thematic, lovingly converted and habitually 2-for-5. 

 

BTW, love the way your Votann opponent painted their buggies.
